Gaming The SM RedCafe League

So mr Damien, why would you like to work for us here in Sunderland?

You're better than my old club.

Okay, and how long have you been in your profession for?

A couple of weeks.

I see, and what notable honours have you managed to add to your resume?

None...

I see...

:D

 Despite all of that you can't argue with my record so far :p beating three Division 1 teams, six clean sheets, lots of goals, pretty good defence. There will be plenty in the league who have a better record than me on the whole of SM as they will have been in the game longer, played with more teams and have more achievements, but I feel that I would be one of the best candidates for the job.

I can't remove players from the game world, so we have to wait for the Sunderland manager to remain 10 days without a login.

It said four when I last looked. Very strange as his actual profile itself said he hadn't logged in since he joined and it still does say that:

Date Joined 11 Mar 2012
Last Online 12:35 GT 11 Mar 2012

But in the game itself it says he last logged in 4 days ago.

I was told the profile sometimes doesn't update when the time spent logged in is very small, so he probably logged in just for a few seconds.

My money's on Damo for the Sunderland job if it becomes available. I'd put my remaining 27k on it if I could.

I can make a draw or we can vote here on applications.

Vote would be better if we're going down the applications route as said earlier. No point in people pouring their heart out on why they want to be manager of x club if it ends up being chosen by a random generator.

Not sure how it'll be done though. The mods can add a poll to the thread but they can't really restrict it to just those in the game which is a bit of a problem.

People could post here but it means the newbies can't vote (unless they pm you your choice) and it also removed any anonymity from the vote - some might be more likely to vote if the poll was anonymous.

I think that's a good idea. I don't see why people not managing a team would vote. And even if they did, we just wouldn't count it. All we need is the poll to be public.

Just make it an open poll, say have a few people in the running (If more then 1 applies).

Right Damien, as the manager of the best football club in this league, you should be looking to get me onside before anyone else.

Convince me why I should vote for you to join me in my domain of Division 1 and not some other peasent from the lower divisions.

:smirk:

In the friendly between Middlesbrough and Southampton, there were 3 red cards... 3(!)

I had a man sent off in the first minute... so played the majority of the game with 10 men, yet still had many many more shots and more possession?? Doesn't seem right to me...

Now cider, why would you sell Kompany, when he has a slight chance to rise again?

I don't read your cheat walkthrough forums, Trionz, if he was due to rise then that's news to me. I sold him because he was surplus to requirements as I can play Sergio Busquets at CB and use the cash generated to purchase some youngsters I've had my eye on. As I said yesterday, if my deals go through I'll enter three or four more promising players onto the loan list, so any managers looking to loan some mid-80's should keep an eye out. As always those brave enough to play the game honestly without cheating on the walkthrough forums will get priority on loan applications.

The forums are meh really. I prefer using scouting blogs and websites, or websites with good stats for team appearences and all that. It is simple, if a player is playing well with a good few minutes on the clock then he stands a good chance to rise. That's why I see the forum being redundant.

I have said it earlier, after first couple of months, that forum is not that useful.
So stop moaning you, well funded giants.

For lower clubs, it's almost necessary to look into that initially.
Thereafter it's individual logic of how one wants to go about with their squad.

We get it; you like to take shortcuts, have your hand held, allow somebody else to tell you who to buy and then make excuses for it. If that's what brings you satisfaction then who are we to complain?

Personally I just prefer not to play the game so cheap and pointlessly as that, that's all I'm saying. Chill out, man.
