Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Do challenge for friendlies to test things.
Am doing, thanks. Though the last two friendlies I had this season I cruised then got smashed in the league.
Perhaps move player position around. Switch Isco and Kroos. I am rigid about this stuff.
Tried that at one point and didn't work either.

Last season I won the first 12(?) league games on the trot. Now I'm heading to a situation where I'm losing the first 12 at least. Think I'll end up having to mess around with formation now because for some stupid reason what I'm doing isn't working in the league anymore. I refuse to accept the seasons of success was purely down to Messi and his loss has suddenly turned me into the worst team ever. I've got a good squad of players.

Proves how broken this game is

Stain gives JMH a slap down on the SM forums:

Ha, maybe not end of season but 12 months..

Firstly, i don't see the "longevity of consistency" of Zaha tbh. From a year ago, it's close. From May, Sisto has outperformed him. This season, Sisto has completely outperformed him. He's been one of Celta's best players alongside Aspas and Gomez. He helped Denmark reach the World Cup alongside Eriksen in a brilliant performance away to Ireland. He has been top or around the top in the assist chart throughout Europe's top leagues where as Zaha has only scored a few goals for a team in the relegation zone. Celta are a mid- to top of the table side. They reached the semi of the Europa League only narrowly losing out to Man Utd.

Don't see your point comparing Sisto with defenders either.

Let's look at Pulisic. Obviously a massive talent but how has he performed compared to Sisto? Yep, worse. How did he get a +2 despite doing nothing this season? Hype and reputation, that's all.

How has Volland not reached 90? How did Sokratis get 92? How has Reus kept his rating while a player like Bernat got dropped for being injured? And so on and so forth..

While i appreciate the game and the people helping it, talking about longevity of consistency when there are such double standards regarding rises is.. well, you get my point.

Thing is my squad average rating barely changed. Even though I lost Messi (99), Aurier (91) and Benassi (89) I gained Kroos (95), Alaba (93) and Kimmich (91) so my team went from:

De Gea (94)

Aurier (91) Ramos (95) Boateng (94) Roberto (91)
Pogba (93) Isco (92)
Eriksen (92) Griezmann (95) Bale (95)
Messi (99)

Average: 93.7

to

De Gea (94)

Roberto (91) Ramos (95) Boateng (94) Alaba (93)
Pogba (93) Isco (92)
Eriksen (92) Kroos (95) Bale (95)
Griezmann (95)

Average: 93.5
With Isco's rise the average is now 93.6. All the better to lose with... just wish the arses gave Kimmich and Sterling their rises.

Stain gives JMH a slap down on the SM forums:

He just said Volland has been going through a purple patch and shouldn't rise but gave Zaha as an example of a player that's rise was justified...

Zaha a player who is the very definition of inconsistent. Playing for a club that is not only in the relegation zone but who's form in the past 12 months has been shambolic at best.

Volland scoring 15 goals and 2 assists (30 games) compared to Zahas 8 with 5 assists (32 games). One club who's been in relegation form, the other who's been a solid top 6 in their respected leagues. This is why people like him shouldn't rate players. They simple aren't in the same bracket as each other. Palace are a tier or two below Bayer as a club in the first place.

Barca review today. Would be typical if umtiti doesn't get a rise given he's injured

How do you consider individual league and then also club influence on value?

How do you consider individual league and then also club influence on value?

Valuation is calculated based on Rating, Age and Club.

The Club Bonus is determined from the Club Rating. Lower the Club Rating the lower the bonus.

If the player is less than 80 rating he gets no club bonus (deemed a youth player). If however he's over 80 rating the player is awarded a fraction of the Club Bonus, higher the rating, higher the Bonus.

Club...................................Club Rating...............Club Bonus
Real Madrid...........................1227.0..................£11,570,000
FC Barcelona.........................1201.9..................£11,319,000
Bayern Munich.......................1071.8..................£10,018,000
Juventus FC...........................1026.5..................£9,565,000
Atlético Madrid.......................1009.6..................£9,396,000
Paris Saint-Germain................916.3...................£8,463,000
Manchester City......................901.4...................£8,314,000
Sevilla FC..............................798.6...................£7,286,000
AS Monaco............................749.5...................£6,795,000
FC Porto...............................731.3...................£6,613,000
SSC Napoli............................721.4...................£6,514,000
Arsenal FC............................718.7...................£6,487,000
Manchester United.................711.9...................£6,419,000

Now as it's based on Club Rating, the Bonus will improve if the Clubs form improves. This means the valuation system is fluid and will match how a Club is performing. A player might have the same rating but if the Club Rating drastically improves his valuation will improve. To get the full bonus you need to be 99 rated, currently nobody in the database is 99.

So how did you get the club ratings(like UEFA coefficient)? Specially for teams outside europe.

I don't rate clubs outside of Europe (yet). But when we eventually get round to adding South America we'll do exactly the same process but with the Copa Libertadores replacing Champions League.

Club Rating is based on results in their domestic league but each club gets bonus points if they draw/win in Europe. Qualifiers are also recorded but are given half points (1.5 for a win, 0.5 for a draw). Each month, every club gets rerated based on the previous 3 years worth of form. I've been doing this for 17months now so have a decent amount of data.

Sweet. Can't imagine how vast this might have gotten from the initial concept.

So, thanks to the review these will be my three new squad players next season:
Kylian Mbappe: from 18/88 to 18/91

John Stones: from 23/89 to 23/90
Jose Gaya: from 22/89 to 22/90

Ridiculous that Semedo went straight to 90 when he isn't even definitely first choice for Barcelona yet.
You'd think that the same thing happening at the same club at the same bloody position as recently as last year would tell them not to jump the gun. What was the name of the RB they signed to replace Alves who was bumped to 90 just because of the transfer and ended up being absolutely shit?

Vidal? Forgot all about him
