Yeah it is surprising. You've got good consistency but need to push on and win something.

Think my squad is a couple of years away from being good enough to win the title tbh. The wholesale changes I did couple of season back hit my avg rating quite hard, it'll be better this season with critical rises happening end of season but still need a bit more wow factor I feel.

Remember: @Akash pipped @Big-Red to the title a few seasons ago without having the best squad. You never know.

Well, I'll back myself if you're doing the jinxing against my rival :p

Even Blackburn have won it, crazy.
Yeah, it was probably the craziest title race to date.

I like your squad for the season by the way. Just need to hope the likes of Leverkusen have a better season for Tah to rise. Coman needs to step up a level too, with Bayern being linked to Brandt next summer when his release clause goes down.

Yeah, Leverkusen having a good season, Ancelotti fecking off from Bayern and Juve signing De Sciglio are things I'm hoping for. The 2nd one will almost certainly happen next season but I'm hoping he's asked to trust youth a bit more this season.

I'm just hoping for my CBs to do something as that is my weakest area by miles.

Getting Monreal temporarily and Mercado permanently has helped my defensive situation a bit.

Yeah, Stones and Zouma need to step up big time in the next 2 seasons for you otherwise you're looking at replacements given Ramos and Boateng are ageing and its an absolute bitch to find good defenders in the game. Jedvaj is a big talent though, just needs to get regular games and kick on.

He did become a regular at the end of the season (started 7 of the last 8 games), but with that manager being sacked he'll probably end up back down the pecking order next season with Wendell and Henrichs probably being preferred at fullback and the new manager might prefer Tah & Dragovic at CB unless he brings in another CB to partner Tah with Toprak going to Dortmund.

I see. Yeah, a lot would depend on the new guy then.

What a game. Beat Fulham 2:0. Brandt scored first goal 2 mins in. Was awarded a penalty in first half but Martial missed. Subbed Götze on and was awarded another penalty which he scored. Brandt was subbed off at half time yet picked up a serious injury and is now out for 3 weeks ffs. On bright side it makes rotation slightly easier...

De Gea (94)

Key:

= Subbed on

Next up: Benfica in Champions Cup followed by Plymouth in the league.

Bit shit my subs didn't work because i was leading by 3 goals instead of 2 goals. I had put the condition as 2 goals, because i was sure i would never lead by 3 goals. :(

That's a cracking win for me. Forgot to activate my subs though - not a good start to concerns.

Scouse top of the table, baby.

Standard MK Dons defeat, hitting the post about 300 times and conceding to a free kick

A late Rashford golazo means that Aston Villa open the season with a victory, and against the current champions too! Good day.

3 shots on target, 3 goals conceded! Just Arsenal things.
Yeah, look at the two matches i played against Darlington. Think i'm in for a bumpy ride. My goalkeepers turn to shite once they hit 91.

First game of the season and i've already ballsed up as one of my players appears to be suspended... instant 3 points for Southampton.

Same.

Lost my first game and Gamerio gets sent off. Up next ?

Damo.

Cack !

Give me Pogba in the deal and we can negotiate.

Btw, Neymar just had his best season till date. Quite happy with that.
Fair enough.

Here's a comparison of the highest rated strikers (just compared those who've played purely as a striker for at least most of their time at their club).

Caveats: In season 6, Ronaldo played on the wing for me and I think Suarez probably played out wide for his club at the start of his career as well.

Zlatan's goal record in seasons 4-8 is insane. I honestly think if Varun kept him for a few seasons more instead of exchanging for Cavani, that he'd have won the title.

Ronaldo at Everton: 26.2 goals/season.
Messi last 5: 19.6 goals/season.
