For shame. I'm the only one to post in three days.

In what will surely be known as the 'giant killing' of the round, my team of plucky youngsters beat a very strong Spurs side which started Messi and Sanchez 2:1 away from home. Man of the match was Christensen, a player who, in the wake of rumoured strong interest from Southend United, was involved in both goals that saw United through to the next round. United manager Damien has since called Christensen "irreplaceable". Next round we face Liverpool.

After wins against Boro, West Ham and Birmingham the mighty Stags find themselves in 4th place after nine games. Upcoming fixtures against QPR and Milton Keynes look likely to end the current run of form, but still a better start to the season than I anticipated. I am amending the seasons target of staving off relegation, and now looking for a top half finish.

Milan have a new, reformed, competent owner and board with an experienced director of football in Leonardo (working closely with Maldini who i trust will steer them in the right direction).

They have instantly been making smart moves in the market signing Higuain, Caldara, Paqueta and they are looking at more signings in January. Paredes linked today.

I, like you and everyone else probably, have dreaded our players signing for them but i'm not worried anymore. The only question mark is Gattuso but even he is showing some balls recently. Their problem so far has been complacency in matches, lack of right mentality to kill off games. Just look at their matches. They've been winning most of them until they've thrown points away. They could have had a lot more points so far. Their next match against Inter will be very interesting.

They are currently a much better run club on the football side of things than us.
