I do understand now why he wasn't too happy with me throwing pathing ideas around :lol: That's at least in part the route I described except he picked up Litmanen on the way and didn't pointlessly wander into Turkey :wenger:

Also love @Enigma_87 picking up Sammer, as if I needed any more reason to love their setup.

Cheers mate! We love it so far as well. Lucky to get him that late as well. Good to see also Tresor featuring in a prominent role as he’s the other CB we mulled over before Vieira.

Got me nervous after I suddenly realized Himannv might get him also. Thought he was wrapped up this morning.

Although, tbf, the poll is quite good and had a decent "reserve" option. Still, Hristo is Hristo.

I think we had very similar targets that round. I had Vieira on my list as well but I was going for Tresor first anyway.

Blanc was fantastic. Saw him as the equal to Desailly when he was playing. I think he’s really underrated on here.

The main reason why CB's like him are overlooked in drafts is because he's on the slow side. Same with Hummels in the modern draft, or one Serbian folk, Scottish, etc.

It's probably the kiss of death when you meet someone with a fast CF.. Reading of the game and positional sense isn't much appreciated I guess.

You have mighty fine one yourself mate and absolutely correct - we were looking either at the Vieira/Sammer combo or Tresor/Tardelli. There was an option to go Vieira/Forster as well if Sammer was taken.

Yeah, obviously considered it. Decided to go with the other way because of other priorities although it would’ve been tasty. Quite happy with Förster though.
