Underground 6 -- Bloody terrible.
Watched this last night thought that it had some very funny scenes. Thought Woody Harrelson was great. I really like him and zombie movies. 6/10.
Recently watched The Score (2010). Featuring Robert De Niro, Edward Norton and Marlon Brando. Very good heist movie. Norton was excellent but part of it remined me of another excellent movie without giving away any spoilers. 7/10
Yeah - watched the trailer and it looked good but 15 mins into the movie and stopped watching
Inglourious Basterds
Re-watched this for the first time since it's original release. Really good movie but I remember enjoying it a little more the first time around. I just can't buy into Brad Pitt's performance in this. He feels like he's in a different movie 7.5/10

6 Underground - Not rated ,couldnt make it past the initial car chase, which didnt seem like it was ever going to end.
Hellboy 1
Hellboy 2: Golden Army
Still a classic and has aged well. Guillermo del Toro's direction is good and the movie keeps you interested till the end. There is enough humour to put a smile on your face and the action is balanced well with the interpersonal dynamics.

A big steaming pile of shite. Everything that was enjoyable in previous movies was trashed and what resulted is a utter waste of time. The character of hellboy is not likeable at all and even Milla Jovovich can't save the farce of a role she plays. She's still
though!
They have murdered the Arthurian legends, add in a witch, some giants and secret societies, supplement it further by random hogwash the writers thought up themselves added up lots of gore it's a movie that you just keep watching only to see if next scene can possibly be worse than the one before.
1/10 (and that 1 is for Milla)

Part of me feels like every role he s had since is just an alternate reality version of that character. The guy he plays in Once upon a time somehow seems like the same dude for instance. Instead of "Nehzees" he just had Manson cultists to kill instead.
Maybe Pitt has always been kind of a limited range actor and I'm just now realizing it.
OUATIH Brad Pitt is so much better looking than IB Brad Pitt though. *swoon*

A woman's daughter gets kidnapped. She knows martial arts and is in a bit of a mood so she batters a whole lot of people and gets her back. I think I expected a bit more from the action given how far things have gone in recent years with The Raid and Jon Wick, but that's maybe an unfair comparison. It's a perfectly good martial arts film, comparing it to two of the best action films of the last few decades is maybe a bit unfair. It's inventive, well acted and entertaining and that's all I can really ask for. Oddly it's not that brutal considering all the hatchets and whatnot being chucked around. Again though I might have been expecting The Raid levels of people getting killed by doors.

Better than it had any right to be all things considered. It's basically a B movie and an hour and a half long set piece, but it's very good for what it is. It might say more about me that I was more worried about the dog than the people. It did what it set out to do and I enjoyed it. Although I think they implied at one point that people are faster on land than alligators, I don't believe that's true.

Not for me, Clive. I think it was trying to be clever, but I just got bored. Needed more alligators or something. I fell asleep and don't even remember if I saw the end of it.
3/10 I gave it a couple of points there because I forgot Iggy Pop existed and now I remember again, although I'm not sure if I like remembering.

It is a great movie. Have you seen The Villainess? If you enjoyed Furie, you'll enjoy that too. And I'm assuming you've already seen The Night Comes For Us, which is probably as good as it gets.
I have The Villainess on my Netflix list, but never seem to get around to watching it. The Night Comes For Us sounds familiar and like something I have on there too, Iko Uwais by any chance?
I have the Once Upon a Time in China trilogy, Police Story 2 and Project A 1 + 2 all to watch on blu ray too. Hoping to get through at least a couple of them before I got back to work next week. Not seen any of them in years.
Yeah they're both on Netflix and yeah the second one has Uwais and his buddy from The Raid, Joe Taslim. It's unreal.
The Town (2010) Very good heist movie starring Ben Affleck, Jeremy Renner and Jon Hamm. Very strong performances from everyone including the actors who didn't have large roles. Think Renner was deserving of his Oscar nomination as he was superb. I would recommend it to anybody interested in heist movies. 7/10.
I know what I'm watching tonight then! I hadn't seen any reviews of it or heard anything about it. I literally just saw Uwais and added it to my list for watching later.

Odd story about 2 youngish black guys, one of which is convinced he’s destined to live in a beautiful Victorian style house on Fillmore St as his grandad built it, but his Dad lost it due to crack so the house is now owned by white folks. Gentrification in San Francisco.
Weird relationship between him and his best friend but an engaging story all the same.
8/10.

The Lighthouse
Yeah it's so arty it's almost a pastiche of arthouse movies but Willem Dafoe is great, it's gorgeous and I can't stop saying "Why d'yer spill yer beans" so I'd give it a thumbs up. The missus was less impressed .... "You do watch some weird films" so bare in mind both those views before diving in.

Edit: Just found out some of those Seagull's in the movie are my friends and they let me me down big time by not telling me about the audition. That's 2 potential movie roles they didn't let me know about in 2 years. I'll be ready for the next Seagull movie and become a star.

Sugar lived and was the true hero of the film. I'd have turned it off if it was otherwise.

Ford vs Ferrari
If you like cars or racing this is a must see. A very enjoyable movie that entertains and also offers an interesting glimpse into a historic era. A little controversy over the character based on Leo Beebe which is to be expected in a movie like this. So if you are an old friend of Beebe you might not like it but otherwise Bale and Damon are very enjoyable and make you root for Ford, something I never thought I would do

Excellent film to start off 2020, the acting and story were top notch.
Some parts of it are horrific to watch
