Has anyone played Star Wars: Dark Forces (1995 game)? Got it yesterday and planning to play it. How is it?

I've had the PC version of both the first and second for a few years but never played either. Now I've got them on PS2/Xbox I should probably get round to it some time.
 You never played Max Payne yet?! Olly, you really need to stop playing tetris and space invaders and play some real games from time to time! You'll like Max Payne, it's a brilliant game with a very brilliant dark atmosphere. A bit similar to Alan Wake.

FF7 is like the best game ever and is 50% off in steam right now (costs 5.99EUR).

I missed it at the time since I was never a console gamer (or haven't been since NES). It's supposed to be one of the classics, but... I just can't go back to early 3D games, I just can't handle how they look.

If you try (hard) to go past the first five hours, then the game becomes simply amazing and it is a worthy experience. I played it two years ago and I don't remember having fun with any game as much as with it. The story, setting, protagonist, antagonist and the music is simply amazing.

Hmm, it's rather tempting. But I have a ridiculous RPG "backlog" at the moment. Currently playing BG2, FFXIII and just bought both KOTOR games again. One of these days though.. maybe.

Get yourself a gamecube and a copy of rogue squadron 2 and 3.
Not a fan of Arcade Game, and neither don't have a gamecube.

Anyway, currently have a few Star Wars game because of that Humble offer and while most of them I have already played, there are a few which I haven't played yet. Dark Forces and Republic Commando. Probably they'll add tomorrow another few games.

With Steam and Humble Bundles, GOG and PS+ I just have way too many games to play now.

Just got the Deus Ex Collection for 6 euro the other day, and all the Fallouts cheap too.

Still, that Star Wars one is tempting....

Me too. Played only the first game so far and the offer was just too good to not get it. Even if I play only Human Revolution from the other three games.

Where are the Fallout games? I've already have the first two but if 3 and New Vegas are cheapish, then why not. Not that I'll ever play them though.

Yeah, I have both Deus Ex: HR and FO:NV glaring out at me of my collection from old Steam sales. I really should go through them before all the 2015 AAA titles hit.

So naturally I go and buy a Wii U...

Just read that Bethesda will hold their first ever E3 conference this year. Fallout 4 anyone? Seems almost inevitable.

On another note, has anyone else checked out Life is Strange? I'd describe it as Telltale Games meets David Cage meets college drama, or something, but in a good way. I really enjoyed the first episode, very intrigued to see where it goes.

Just saw this trailer - for any fans of SimCity type games - this looks v impressive:

I just started Arkham City and the first thing to show, even before the menu was, "Catwoman is not included, buy a code or redeem one now." Great way to start the game.

I am dissapointed on you Olly. This game is quite new, thought that you play only games of eighties.

Still playing Arkham City, really enjoying it now. At first I thought it felt a bit off, but that's probably just because it was a while since I played Arkham Asylum.

Arkham city was great fun, I almost completed it including the little riddle challenges. And yes, I had to google a few as some of them were quite hard.
