This is finally finished a long fan made project that's been going on for years.

They have upgraded every single texture in the game redrawn increased resolution etc.

If your a fan of Resident Evil 4 and have a PC more then worth a playthrough.

Has anybody played Baba is You? It's an addictive little puzzle game, basically a riff on sokoban but with logic rules.

I was up until 1am last night playing it

Yes, my son got me into it a while back. I really liked it until one particular level melted my brain and I gave up. Starts off pretty easy but gets very hard.

(Update)
I finished Scarlet Nexus earlier. It’s good game. Bought game pass to play it. It’s not getting much attention which is surprising after playing it. Basically you get to pick between Yuito and Kasane, I picked yuito first. I’ll be doing the other character soon. I won’t mention the story much because there’s not too much I can say without spoiling it. So I’ll just say the story is very good and interesting. The combat is fun and there’s a lot of different ways to attack. The squad mates are helpful and you get to use certain power attacks for different types of enemies. Gameplay is a bit like Nier with Mass effect squad powers. I even know all the characters name in a Japanese game which is rare for me. I played all of the Yakuza games and I barely know more then 3 characters. Anyway It took about an hour or 2 to get used to everything going on. And It may seems like too much at the start but after a small while it becomes easy to understand what you have to do. The level design isn’t the best and it does get repetitve towards the end. Took me 17 hours to complete. The boss battle was the best I’ve played in years. It was brilliant and exhausting. I’ll be playing Kasane story next to see if there’s a difference. I heard it’s more compelling. I’ll give it a 8/10.

2nd run
In Playing Kasane story, the first half was intriguing. The levels were the same but the story was very different from the other. She has her own mission. But towards the 2nd half of the game, the missions then became the exact same as Yuito. Same dialogue and with very minimal difference. The ending was the same too. Thought it would be different playing as her. It’s a shame as the start of the story was very good for her. I still prefer Yuitos teammates , they were less annoying. The other thing was that the teammates from both sides are over positive and the talking was just weird sometimes. Way too polite. Like here’s an example Teammate: “ I think I’m starting to understand you more. Yuito: Really!? Im so happy to here you say that” I’d still say give it a shot if you get the game. It’s pretty good. I’d recommend playing Yuito first as it’s better chronically. More of a mystery form his view first and it’s better playing Kasane in the 2nd playthrough. For a tenner on Gamepass, I got my moneys worth.

Someone was banging on about some game called Outer something... Was it Worlds or Wilds? If the latter, can't find it on Switch...

OUTER WILDS. WILDS. W.I.L.D.S!

It's not on the switch. It's time you became a propah gamer and upgraded :D

It's on PC too

The Fallen Order is seriously pissed me of. Could have been a much better game if they didn’t put a boring stupid puzzle every 30 seconds. The gameplay is very nice but it breaks the rhythm that you have to do the same stupid puzzle two hundred times. And then backtrack at the end of each mission.

I really hope they fix this shit for the sequel cause I am really enjoying both the gameplay and the story. (Just finished the zombie dathomir so I assume I am near the end).

Crusader kings III is coming to consoles next month. Anyone play it on PC and if so what's it like? Tempted to get it on the PS5.

Just finished The Last Guardian. It has flaws but what it sometimes lacks in the controls, cameras and clumsiness, it more than makes up in emotion and heart. The story/ending really got me.

Just bought This War Of Mine. Probably won't get to it for a while but at £3 (90% discount), couldn't let that go!

Finished the Fallen Order. Could have been a great game if they didn’t interrupt you every minute to do a boring space puzzle, breaking the rhythm of the game. Many parts of it were seriously not fun.

I think in the end it was decent but I think that both Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and probably the first Force Unleashed were better than this.

Heart is a really good word for it. It really feels like a game that had tons of attention poured into it, even if they didn't quite manage to pull everything off.

The gameplay became quite the drag towards the latter parts because jankiness and a lack of general precision does take its toll eventually so it became more about just wanting to proceed rather than enjoying it. But on the other hand, I've never felt a sense of attachment for a "companion" (he's the main character really) the way I did in this game. His whole animation/design/behavior is a huge accomplishment. And the ending was just fantastic. It's one that will stay with me.

@Dirty Schwein Since you have a Switch, do try Submautica. If you're new to the genre (like I was) it'll take some getting used to but it's a fantastic game.

Looking for something fairly short to tide me over until Horizon and Elden Ring.

Tuning either Death's Door or Kena. Any other recommendations?

  • DMC5 continues to be shitloads of fun. Feel it's going to be fairly short though which would be a bummer.
  • Started Gravity Rush 2 which has started enjoyably. Charming game/style so far. Visuals are far better than expected
  • Cleared Hades 6 times now. Getting closer to finishing the story.
