After you ran dozens of scenarios on what everyone will draft and thus what Tito may get and how he may end up, here's a newsflash for you: he has Ronaldo and Nadal was not your man.

Sorry mate, not a good draw for you by any means. It's probably the best draw overall as far as teams gettig stronger is concerned.

I can see all teams getting a very handy reinforcement from their rivals as they are already, let alone after they get stronger.

That's one consideration to make. Gio could do with Romario, but he may go for a daring move and let akash pick Ronnie for him. :lol:

Very cocky, but if he fancies others ahead of Romario it makes an awful lot of sense to plant his next pick in his rival squad if there's someone else he wants to be reunited with. ;);)nudgenudge
 
That is a ballsy strategy. And in fairness having the draw before we draft is a good way of doing things.

Can already feel Theon's greedy gaze upon Ronaldo ;)
 
That would be unbelievably cocky if Gio did that :lol:

Ronaldinho/Romario with Hagi in behind is brilliant, they would have a good chance of beating Gio with that team

Originally I though Xavi but I remembered the AllTime Draft where he has a very similar set up, and Xavi/Mauro/Rivaldo might be vulnerable to the criticisms that Gio's AllTime Xavi/Davids/Platini midfield was.

Odd, Tito and Theon should be the ones worried about my suggestion. Why would you care how strong Gio could get for a semi? If it means getting Ronnie I would say "brilliant idea, thank you very much".

Re: Theon's point, Gio was facing Rijkaard, Effenberg and Iniesta, plus Laudrup and Henry/Rivelino. That surely was too much for Davids. Baraja, Petit, Guardiola, Ronnie and McManaman is very good, but not the same challenge by any means. Instead, you have Mauro Silva who is a more pure DM than Davids.

Xavi will contribute a lot more defensively than Cesc as well. I was surprised no one raised that when I banged on and on about Davids.
 
Yeah I don't think Gio need Dinho. He's got Nedved. If I were him I'd be replacing Joaquin and Cesc at this stage so Xavi/Vieira/Redondo or Figo would the suitable pick. Owen/Makaay also would need to be replaced before the final but then he can get Romario if he wins vs us. Rivaldo and Romario with Nedved and Figo on the flanks and he'd be set.

Then yeah, Viera should last, and then he can get Romario and Cannavaro off you.

Just realised you only get one pick, Montero is good anyway. He'd just have to get through the game vs Akash with Owen or Maakay up front.
