Yeah Cotto fought very well. Constantly circled towards Margarito's right eye and clinched when things got uncomfortable, which I don't think he even did once in the first fight. Nice bit of justice.

Hmmmmm.........

KLITSCHKO FIGHT CALLED OFF

Wladimir Klitschko's world title fight against Jean-Marc Mormeck on Saturday has been called off, his management company confirmed on Monday.

Klitschko, the WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion has failed to recover in time for the bout in Dusseldorf after undergoing an operation at the weekend to remove a kidney stone.

The Ukrainian, 35, initially hoped he would have recovered in time but has now been advised to pull out.

Klitschko's last fight was the heavyweight unification bout against David Haye in Hamburg on 2 July this year where he won with a unanimous points victory.

It meant Klitschko added the WBA Super World heavyweight title to his IBF, WBO and International Boxing Organisation heavyweight titles.

The bout against Mormeck would have been the Ukrainian's 20th world title fight in a career of 56 wins, 49 knockouts and only three defeats.

Frenchman Mormeck has had just three fights since he lost his world cruiserweight titles to Haye in November 2007.

A press conference will be held by Klitschko's management company later today where they are expected to confirm if the fight will be rescheduled.

"The Fight Of Their Lives" documentary on ITV1 now if anyones interested. Going over the fight of Nigel Benn and Gerald Mcclellan, looks like it should be good.

agreed, the trainer and the corner on the whole look to be the main reason behind this tragedy. So sad.

Its just completely shocking this fight continued, im no expert but it was clear to me he was in no state to fight come the 7th round his eyes were gone, head wasnt in the right place and he couldn't hold his shield in his mouth. His trainer is a walking cliche with no brains or compassion.

Im in total disbelief watching this.

The trainer claiming that McClellan didn't leak a drop of blood so it couldn't have been his blood on the boot but I remember he was bleeding from the nose when there was the (accidental) headbutt.

To be fair, he could've been on the juice. I recall watching that fight, and Benn looked a man possessed...I'd never seen him like that before. But yeah brutal all around.

Nigel Benn was always brutal...it's why they called him the Dark Destroyer.

He drove past me in a porsche once...I nearly shat my pants. Scary looking bloke!

I remember reading a few years back that, before he had recovered, McClellan's family had him flown back to the States against doctors' recommendations, and that worsened his condition. No mention of it on the documentary, though.

Terrible. British title fight as well.

Its basically Rocky Balboa stuff, some complete novice with no skill gets a title fight on a few days notice against brash champion and is beating him

Is the Khan fight starting anytime soon?

4am oh feck, my bottle of Stoli won't last that long and the tonic is nearly done. Are we genuinely expecting a good close fight?

What the feck is up with Gille (sp?) if he can 'only fight in bursts' in a limited round match. Not sure the Irish guy deserves it tbh. Both pretty unconvincing
