The RedCafe Boxing Thread

I can't see Joshua beating Wilder. He's so timid now. Wilder would connect with that ridiculous power he's got at some point.
I said after the Tyson fights thar Wilder would beat anyone else. He would have taken Tyson except he wouldn't stay knocked out. Sure he's not the best technically but sooner or later he will land and anyone bar Fury is not getting up. I'd bet on Wilder beating Usyk and Joshua

I read today Tommy Fury has made £20 million pounds from boxing :wenger:
Fair play to him. Extremely limited, journeyman-level talent - made an absolute fortune. If that’s not making the most of what you’ve got then I don’t know what is.

If Francis goes head-hunting, it'll be like a bad YouTuber being carried by a decent pro; hopefully his whole camp has been about working to the body and learning how to clinch, eventually mixing headshots after prolonged bodywork.

Fury has promised to meet him in the centre of the ring and not use his movement. I don't think it's a blag; he said and did the exact same to Wilder, there's no reason to doubt he can do the same to N'Gannou if he feels like it, and at least give the impression there's a contest to be had.

I doubt Francis can do 2 high octane rounds, let alone 3; I hope he has some head movement and has a clue how to work behind a guard.

Fury is a lot more erratic and unpredictable than Floyd, who decided to carry McGregor. I think Fury is as likely to knock him out early as he is to carry him to a decision, but there's no way Francis can do 12 rounds, so what that's saying is: carry him until he basically collapses.

I'm going to go with K.O. inside two rounds.

I'm banking on Fury giving the Saudis some value for their money, instead of making the fight look like the mismatch that it really is. He might even have a sweetener is his contract to do so.

Im on over 4.5 rounds @1.75.

If not for his Brother he wouldn't have made a penny
That’s true of course, but I still find it admirable that someone so bereft of talent….got the bad family genes effectively, could carve out that bag for himself.

I don’t find him as hateable as the other Furys

It's an interesting one because the Saudi crowd aren't easily duped and if there's obvious signs of carrying, I think they'd prefer the KO.

If Francis is blowing badly it'll be hard to hide and we already know Fury has a massive tank, so he'd have to slow his output considerably for Francis to keep up, but is that going to lessen the 'spectacle'?

I guess it depends on how N'Gannou himself plays it. If he's slow and tentative, it could go to your desired distance, but if he goes for it, two rounds just seems like an organic end. The other caveat is if Fury does indeed go to war as he's promised to do; if N'Gannou hasn't prepared for being tied up and leaned upon, he's in for a shock and probably a heavy uppercut KO.

There's just so many ways for Fury to end it quickly and I can't help but think it'll be too tempting to set Francis up for a sweet counter KO and then begin promo work for Usyk. With that fight in mind, there was speculation on whether Fury will want a quick wrap up, too.

But this is Fury, so expect the unexpected, probably!

Considering his own boxing career was a complete waste of time and got his backside handed to him on a plate by various journeyman, you would think he would pipe down these days, but no, he acts like he had a career to match Ali himself.

There is delusions of grander .. and then there is Mr John Fury.

Yeah exactly, came across this showing how good John Fury actually was

Having a hard time believing this is an actual match rather than a "Lets just both get paid" WWE-esque match.
Fury should win this quite handily. I think the only perceived intrigue is Ngannou having a lot of power.

Well whatever happens we know Fury already has a fight signed with Usyk in less than 2 months. I don't think he plans to go the distance himself.

Might have a look. Anyone able to PM me a decent river, I'm somewhat out of the loop at the moment.

Just reading Bakole dispatched Takam in 4 rounds ... Impressive, that!

This is the kind of breakdown I wish I'd read before going over 4.5 rounds.

Still though, I think Fury will do his upmost to make this fight seem somewhat competitive. At least for 15 minutes.

Don’t see how he doesn’t carry him to make it a spectacle, Ngannou has a miracle punch chance and that’s it.

Fury and Ngannou better deliver a great show soon because I just came out from watching a shitshow of a final with rugby.

Would appreciate a river too if anyone has a reliable one! Thanks

Can anyone hit me up. The audio on my IPTV is about 20 seconds faster than the video

Don't think Ngannou would beat either of the men fighting in the chief support.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to but I’m guessing you must have seen him dressed in African native attire. Maybe the woman’s purse you saw was made from traditional African fabric.

Of course I've see him many times in his native attire. Now he is wearing a louis vutton bag.

edit. Maybe that LV placement probably part of his contract. This event is all about luxury and spending silly money.

Didn't really plan to watch this, but put it on, and this wait before the start is way too long...
And of course there's some shit music too
