Tremendous heart, bravery and courage shown by Haye. I think the toe incident and all the ridicule he received is still playing on his mind hence he refuses to give up.

If the rumours about his financial situation are true, he needs the money more than his legacy being cemented. This ruins him as a top level fighter, I think. By the time he is back in fighting shape, and has to start all over again, he'll be too old.
