This is why no one pays for Boxing PPV's anymore.

Pacquiao did well against an overmatched opponent. Algieri couldn't keep Pac off him at any stage of the contest. Will Floyd be next? We've heard it all before. Years too late if it happens. Would still fancy Floyd to edge a UD out.

So a very easy win for Pacquiao! Now surely that has to set-up the big fight that every ones to see, even if it is a few years too late. But I expect more excuses from Floyd's side.

So glad i did not pay for that crap. Not a single interesting fight in the end. Dull as dishwater. Hearn could sell ice to bloody eskimos though. Can talk any crap up.

Pacquiao looks like he's almost back to his best. Very quick and dangerous. The Mayweather fight has to happen now, surely!

As for the Bellew-Cleverly fight, what a load of shit. The standard was awful.

Agreed on the PPV comments. Was very underwhelming even though all home town fighters won. The standard was poor overall with highlights of DeGale stepping up in big fashion again and Joshua dismantling another overmatched opponent in seconds.

I do wonder how much money the mark up of a PPV makes Matchrooom. The buys wouldn't have been anywhere near Froch-Groves 2 no matter what Hearn feeds IFL and other interviewers. Can't help but think if he makes more money in 1 PPV than say 5 shows with each of the main fights headlining then it was a poor, greedy call to push it as it was. Groves, Quigg, Bellew, Cleverly and Callum Smith though he had obvious reasons for his, the rest all looked out of sorts for whatever reason - rushed, overtrained, too much pressure etc. I honestly think only DeGale's reputation was enhanced and that was marginally. It would have been far better in the longer term to focus separate main events on each big fighter/fight and give talented undercards exposure and massage the bigger lads egos.

I just watched the Eubank jr vs Saunders press conference and Saunders looks really, really rattled to me. Eubank is so calm and in control, I really hope he wins this and I fancy him. I think when you're betting on this fight you're basically betting on the judgment of Eubank senior. He seems convinced that his son is destined for great things and he does look the part, but he could just be delusional. Eubank jnr's up bringing mirrors his dads in a few ways.

Any thoughts on this Saturday's card?

Thinking of whacking Fury and Eubank stoppages in my weekend accumulator.

Neither are as straightforward as people are making out, I actually think Fury is quite expensive at 2/5 considering he is very susceptible to the overhand right that Chisora loves to throw, watch Cunningham drop him and remember that he is a natural cruiser-weight.

Eubank Jr will put Saunders to sleep, he is a monster.

Hope you're right, I have money on it. He needs to knock someone out who isn't a part-time bouncer before he can earn the title "monster" though. Kovalev, Golovkin, Klitschko and Povetkin are monsters, Eubank is either going to be Frank Lampard Jnr or Jordi Cruyff, we don't really know yet.

Nobody mentioning the Mickey Rourke fight?

Kudos to him.

Loved the fake he pulled where he pretended he was hurt to lure the guy in. I don't know where his opponent goes from here. He's a 29 year old man in decent shape and he just got stopped in a few minutes by a 60 year old movie star. Good to see Ruslan Provodnikov return to form as well, he is one of the more likeable boxers in the game.

You two aren't serious are you?

That fight was the most obvious fix I've ever seen. They didn't even try to make it look convincing. Ridiculous.

I have a Fury stoppage @ 6/5 which I think is decent value and I believe it's going to happen. Chisora knows he can't win.

Eubank has been shocking thus far. Always off balance after throwing his punches.

Not impressed with either fight tbh.

Eubank's game plan so far is to throw a punch (after having emailed first), then stumble into Saunders and grab him after missing widely.
