Price can feck off getting all patronising after his bullshit fight tonight.

Why is Price trying to make out that fighting Audley Harrison is like fighting Tyson at his peak?! He's long overdue a decent fight really.

If he starts the way he started tonight against a serious fighter he'll be in serious trouble.

Price just happens to be British and a Heavyweight in a time when the division is on its arse across the whole world and he still doesn't exactly stand out.

Nevertheless, this is what he's going home to tonight:

Yeah I agree, he can get away with it vs the Skeltons and Harrisons of the boxing world but do that against any half decent fighter and you're in serious trouble. I think he's actually got potential Price I don't think he'll be a world beater but he could be a good heavyweight boxer, the problem is (and I think someone touched on it before in this thread) is that fights like this just do nothing for him really.

Price had no choice to fight Shelton, he wants to win the Lonsdale belt outright and had to fight him as he was the highest contender, outside of Haye, Chisora and Fury.

He already was British Champion though?

Anyway you saw the way that Tyson vacated it that it means little, and Price should be aiming high as he's nearing the peak of his career, he'll be 30 next year.

I don't like Fury but he's still a young lad but compare who he is fighting in Johnson, who has been 12 rounds with Vitali etc.

The look on Richard Dawson's face when he came out was hilarious, after two fights on some garbage American circuit he found himself in front of 10000 English folk, he looked concerned.

Terrible fight, Flintoff was so bad but his opponent managed to be worse.

Bradley Saunders looked fantastic though. I like his style.

That was terrible. Flintoff you can sort of excuse since he's been a cricket player all his life but what was wrong with the other guy? Think it was fixed like Eyepopper said.

Not even joking, there are about 95% of amateur fighters that could have put on a better display of boxing skills than those two right there, embarrassing.

I doubt it was fixed. They got an opponent who had had two fights on a local American club circuit, he was barely a step up from the man on the street. Add to that him walking into a sporting event with 10000 people there, I thought that he froze, he looked baffled as he was walking to the ring.

Flintoff was still terrible, cricketer or not, he was slapping with the inside of his gloves for the most part.

Yea I don't get it. A lot of people know how to punch though, right? For example if you got in the ring you wouldn't slap your opponent the way Flintoff was doing would you?

Maybe he was trying to channel Nick Diaz, doing the old Stockton Slap

Martin Murray signed to fight Martinez for middleweight title on April 27th in Argentina, I love Murray but think he would have been better going after Felix Sturm again as I'm positive he would win that one.

Well the Flintoff fight wasn't pretty. An actual boxer would have took him to pieces, which is to be expected. I suspect he'll have another fight, step the opponent up and lose.

I think people are being a bit dismissive of Flintoff really. If he decides to stick at it he has every chance of improving, especially with the coaching set up and facilities he will have availible to him.

I don't expect anything amazing, however, he is better placed than the majority when it comes to improving himself and progressing his career.

What career?

Is this not simply another manifestation of Flintoff attempting to find a place for himself in a post-cricket world?

I don't take away from from the actual act of stepping through those ropes to fight, and indeed by the sounds of it brought more the the spectator than Harrison did when up against Haye, but there's not longevity here surely?
