I'd love Fred to win tonight. Even it seems weird saying that as a boxing fan.

Hatton outcome seemed inevitable, I'm convinced his lifestyle between bouts absolutely fecked his body. You rip and tear that muscle then lose it and rip and tear only stands to reason that it causing unnecessary stress. Stayed ripped and box or stay fat and quit the fecking sport.

Is Flintoff's fight on TV ?
 
Can't wait for it, really interested to see how he does although he most likely be knocked out. Seems a proper sound bloke so hope he does well and as others have said takes some balls and hard work to try it, he was notoriously unfit so has worked his arse off.

Price is fighting tonight again, seems a bit of a pisstake in opponent.
 
I am having a few problems throwing the left hook from time to time.

Anyone have any tips? I keep working on it and sometimes it is fine and others not so much.

Anyway, I've been told not to try and throw it horizontally but to drop the elbow so it's a semi-hook/uppercut.

I would expect them to have put him in with someone who is first class garbage for his first fight.

Hatton's hero is Roberto Duran, he lived a wild life outside the ring and ballooned in between fights, it seems that Hatton modeled himself on Duran in every aspect. Duran had a much longer and harder career than Hatton too. It became so hard for Duran to boil down for fights that he used to go home after training and lay on the floor of his shower for hours, such was his weakness, this was when he was training for fights with guys like Sugar Ray Leonard. Not many men are as durable as Duran, as Hatton found out.

He's got a 2-0 record apparently so he's similarly inexperienced. Was much heavier at the weigh in.

Freddie lost 3 stone for the fight.

According to Paddy Power Flintoff is schedule to start at 10 but so is David Price..I know they're at different venues but they're both on BoxNation (I think?), I read Flintoff is on the 1st of the 2 so I'd imagine he'll be at 10.

No it is serious. I find it can be an awkward shot to throw sometimes, I also occasionally catch my thumb which can be annoying.

Do you throw it palm down or palm to stomach?
 
Just read it's after the Price v Skelton fight and that's due to start at 9.30. So prob about 10.15.
 
David Price is a great prospect but his fight against Matt Skelton is a joke. Hope he steps up in competition soon.
 
Ayee it's a pisstake. He's not even a 'prospect' really, think he is 29 so should be at his physical peak.
 
Price just seems to be trying to progress at a snails pace to avoid meeting klitschko at all or atleast only face him when he is a really old. I mean the Fraudley Harrison fight was a joke but to follow that up with Matt Skelton is just a farce, he can talk up the opponents as much as he likes but it is clear for anyone to see that these fights are not a test and is not helping his progress, nothing but easy wins.

I know, they have a bit of a rivalry going on so they keep biggin it up. Fury is ranked way higher than Price IIRC, which I thought was wierd.
 
Stream started again. That fight was predictably shit. Freakshow fight next, hope Flintoff does well.
 
The whole Flintoff fight smacks of someone coming to him with an idea for a Tv show rather then him actually wanting the fight in the first place. Still fair play to him. Got to have balls to get in there in the first place.
