Won't be rated indeed, I barely remember him myself but if I had to pick a word it would be incisive. Could be worse than not getting Conti, you could have got Passarella next to Bobby Carlos.

Yours Bochini rated him quite highly though - and not only him, he is 19th in this IFFHS South American rating, which is impressive as feck. But I didn't know anything about him until this draft. I didn't want to pick him before Savicevic, despite him being, probably, (much?) better player because it's hard as hell to find any useful information about him. I'm trying to find footage of Copa Libertadores 85-87, which shouldn't be that hard, probably - well, that's what these drafts are for in the first place, aren't they? Discovering the forgotten greats.

Should have left him to squirm a wee bit longer, it's a while before he picks. I've been squirming with Ljungberg from the start.

Bizarrely, I've no idea what my Plan B is if Ljungberg goes, it's much easier to plan for Stevie's exit.

I'd say he is a completely different player from Savicevic, would be ideal as a WF in a WM, which Savicevic clearly wouldn't be.

Of course he is, I just considered them for a roughly similar position - with a completely different roles though, that's where the comparison is from
 
From whatever I have read about Ortiz, his style of play was similar to that of someone like Pedro. Obviously a much much better player but he was someone who greatest strength was those 1-2s, direct runs from the wide areas and often look to exploit that space between the centre back and the full back.

Your description sounds about right from what I've seen so far. But he also relies on his dribbling very much - and rightly so.
