The Real Caftards Fantasy League 2011/12

Got 75 points last week. If I remembered to change my team the previous week I might've been up there.
 
Hope Dzeko starts he hasn't played much lately. I was gonna drop him, Rooney for Aguero and someone else didn't in the end.
 
I have a question about the transfers. Its incredibly annoying that the players arent worth what they are supposed to when you "sell" them. For instance I have RVP in my team who costs 13.2. But if I sell him I only get 12.6 to spend...bug? So say I want to change RVP for Rooney for the next round and then take RVP back into the squad again, I will have to sell him for 12.6 and then buy him back for 13.2, basically losing 0.6 of my team value in the process..

Very frustrating. How long will it take for "my" RVP to give me 13.2 and not 12.6 if I want to sell him?
 
You only gain half the growth, you must have bought him for 12m? (he goes up by 1.2m, you get half of that when you sell). You'll only get £13.2m for him if he goes up to £14.4

So its basically a system to stop me from just transferring him out for a single game and rather make long-term transfers. CHeers for the answer.

I'd never thought about why it's like that, but that does make sense.

I'm doing shit on the Caf's league. I was top 10 for most part last season, now I'm 64th.
 
Just depends on the players I have. I'm playing a 352 atm because my midfielders had easier fixtures.
 
I go 5 defenders at the back at times. Can work very well at times, espeically over the last 3 weeks. I have 2 transfers this weekend now, so may bring in Rooney for RvP and transfer Carrick too as I already have Smalling and Nani. Fairly happy with my team now. In my friends league the gap is down to 50 points at the top after I came back from being behind 100, happy days!
 
Whats the latest standings?
I didnt get to join the league but would like to see how I would have faired if I had joined..

Same here especially when Richards and Lescott don't play and Evans goes off injured at half time. Three clean sheet bonuses I didn't get. Story of my season though just can't catch a break and get on a decent run.

I didnt realise the Fantasy Cup started this week - just in time for me to have the worst Gameweek for ages and go out at the first hurdle :(
 
I always forget that I'm in this league aswell. Haven't touched this team at all.

If my other side was in this league I'd be coming 7th
 
im deleting my team, its the most frustrating fecking game ever

last week the Pl website says bale is injured so I tranfer him out and he scores twice against norwich

today i change my captain from RVP to nani, nani does feck all and gets booked and rvp will prob get a hat trick today

oh and i also got rid of yakubu thinking there is no way he will score at old trafford...never mind 2.....

shitty few gameweeks for me aswell. Alot of squad rotation has hampered me. Gap in the friends league is back up to 80 points the bastards :D
 
i feel like smashing my head off a wall every time i feckin look at this wanking cnut bastard of a game.
I didnt delete me team I made 2 changes, I put Richard Dunne in and take out williams this morning. what happens, Williams gets a bonus and clean sheet. Fat feck dunne concedes 2 goals and gets booked.

my 3 subs are worth 22 points.

The rest of the fecking team are worth 9.

I hate this fecking game
 
So Spurs and Everton have got 2 games in this game week... so double points for players from those teams? I made Adebayor and Bale captain/vice captain because of this so I hope so. Dropped Van Persie from the captaincy instead but he wasn't up to much yesterday
 
yes double points for all Spurs and Everton players this week - Ive got 5 of them, would have 6 if Everton had any decent striker!
 
I'm have a repeat of last year...

I keep getting beat by a few points on the Head to Head... and slipping with subbed out players, no matter what I do.


I've got so much going on this year, I couldn't care less, really.

Yet.. BEHOLD... Mike is immediately above me in the standings. I forgot to change my (C) ~ and left it on Bentner, I was fortunate to cash in a few points. Who knows, my fantasy footy year might not be over, just yet.

Oh.. wait.. we are up against each other.. I just noticed.. good luck tomorrow. You're going to need a lot points with Phil Jones & Krul to make up the 16 points. The only way I see that happening is if the Barcode boy's keeper blocks 2 or 3 PKs from Rooney. ~ Good luck :cool:

Oh.. wait.. again... you're a Newcastle fan, aren't ya? ... Now, THAT'S commitment going with Krul. Nobody can question your loyalty. That's for sure.

The Mackems thing was a complete mistake. I had been switching things around ... then got too busy to finalize my team before Friday. I thought it was a Saturday start... dumb luck.

the thing that people watching on dont realise is that this league started in GW2 - so you would actually be a fair way further down than that after you discount your GW1 score.

If i discount my GW1 points I would be 27th.. Not bad considering this is the first time I am playing this Fantasy League thing.. :D
