Television The Propgropthrop

To be fair, the repetitive match by numbers is for safety, apparently, which would be more understandable if he didn't get injured all the time anyway.

It's nothing unusual though, their main star has almost always been like this, Hogan, Cena, and tbh, the Rock & Austin weren't much different.

After John Cena's match at a WWE live event this week in Munchen, Germany, he called Antonio Cesaro down to the ring and put him over in a big way. You can watch the full promo below, but here are a few of the highlights that Cena said about Cesaro:
"[Cesaro] has earned the respect of the WWE."
"I have been around the world many times and know a good thing when I see one..Claudio [Castagnoli], and yes, I will call you Claudio, Cesaro, whatever we choose to call you ..congratulations for finally coming home. This man has the makings of a future champion. And I believe it's only fitting to end the night with a future champion in front of a championship audience."
Cena then tossed his World Heavyweight Championship to Cesaro and said, "hold on to this for me".

Interesting.

Doesn't mean anything. Wade Barrett was put over by Cena following a show in the UK last year. Germany is probably as close as they are gonna get to Switzerland

I think the fact his move set gets bigger pops than most other stars on the roster and crowds seem to behind the "We the people" chants he will turn face eventually. I expect Colter and Swagger to turn on him for being foreign.

Could be quite funny, "Wait one minute...... You're not American at all!"

It's the most retarded stable in WWE. They basically needed a mouth piece for Cesaro and Vicky and Heyman were busy so stuck him with Colter. Cesaro should have been in Axel's/Rybacks position as the new Heyman guy.

I saw a bit of Raw - good of them mention that THE Manchester United defeated THE Arsenal on Sunday.

And also that City lost

I saw on twitter that Cole, JBL and Renee were the Utd game v Arsenal, wonder if they actually got in and watched the match?. I know JBL is a football fan.

Btw how hot is Renee  how I would like a Renee, Bella twins and A.J sandwich!

Read the spoilers for last nights RAW. They're usually gash when filmed in the UK so will likely not bother watching. I nearly went last night but had to work late.

I'd have loved to be walking around the ground and bumping into JBL

Renee  indeed.

How cool it would have been to bump into JBL at old trafford.

I wasn't to impressed with raw this week, it's almost like the survivor series is being used as a filler before the rumble this year.

Here is JBL before he was a wrestler:

Played 2 games of american football with a broken bone in his leg? jesus christ lol.

JBL is 1 of my favourite heels of the last decade. I loved that "clothesline from Hell" finisher. He really knew how to draw heat from the crowd.

I loved the APA, but go back in time and tell me then that Bradshaw would be a future world champion, and I'd have laughed at you. It's like the equivalent of somebody saying now that Jimmy or Jey Uso will win a world title in the future.

Loved it when Bradshaw feuded with Undertaker, by the way, and they brought back Viscera and Gangrel for it.

just goes to show how a great gimmick can change a wrestler's fortunes. 3 years ago I thought Barret would be the Nexus' breakout star. Now Daniel Bryan is the most over wrestler on the planet and a 2 time former WWE champ. Even though he got screwed over kayfabe or otherwise by HHH.

Ryback's above Barrett in the pecking order as well. I'd even say that Slater has come out of Nexus better than Barrett, because even though he's in a comedy team, at least he gets on the shows and doesn't change his gimmick every other week. Then if you count New Nexus, both Curtis Axel and Bray Wyatt are doing better than Barrett.

On another note, just watched a Youtube video with Big E Langston answering fan questions. He says that his dream match would be him vs. Goldberg. Can we have that instead of Ryback vs. Goldberg, please?

He probably had one of the best catchphrases ever too...

"I am a wrestling Gaaawd!"

He is a great foil to Cole and King on commentary too, some of the quick 1 liners he comes out with absolutely slew me.

Barret has suffered from some strange booking. How can someone who is being touted as a bareknuckle fighter lose random tv matches to The Miz? He went from leading the Nexus to tapping out to Ezekiel Jackson on Smackdown. The only time he was booked strongly was during his feud with Orton.

doesnt barrett have visa problems, they must have known this was coming up so didnt want to push him

I can't stand JBL's commentary. Just three hours of "HAHA MAGGLE I LOVE IT MAGGLE MEXICO'S GREATEST EXPORT MAGGLE"

Yesterday was 8 years since Eddie Guerrero died. The JBL talk reminded me of him. His rivalry and Judgment day match with him was actually pretty brutal. He bladed too hard, covered most the ring in blood, then went into shock backstage due to severe blood loss, was given IV fluids then rushed to hospital. Loved him as a kid

I quite enjoy JBL on commentary to be honest, he always struck me as a great heel and his commentary sort of lends a bit of nostelgia to each show.

I'm reading that Ryback will be turning face soon and will feud with Lesnar, who will be sent by Heyman to destroy Ryback. The match is likely to happen at the Royal Rumble.

The report also says that the creative writers want to have Ryback vs Goldberg at Wrestlemania 30 but Goldberg doesn't want to return to the WWE just to lose a match.

Ryback is pointless. They tried to book him like Goldberg except he lost all his big matches in the PPV's
