The New Official Republic of Ireland Football Thread

Now I know how the Argentinians felt the day after the World Cup. A day I'll never forget. God bless Robbie Brady

Spare a thought for our brothers across the Irish Sea this morning. Losing at home with some of our rejects involved.

Nathan Collins seems to have moved into the James McCarthy zone of "never actually going to come good but used to have potential so that has to count for something", God love him.
I think we ultimately don’t have good enough players to punish players like that for their mistakes. Can’t really be leaving Collins out when he’s only of the only Premier League regulars.

Ireland U21’s just robbed at the end by the ref. 1-0 up and he doesn’t give a blatant jersey pull and they score from it in stoppage time. It will probably knock them out as they have to go to Italy Tuesday

Maybe a foul but he's got to f**king clear it or pass it back to the keeper. What's he trying to shield it for?!

We are getting killed by the Greeks tonight, they have improved alot since we met them in the Euro qualifiers last year

If Ireland's u21 get screwed and the seniors are faffed out of a penalty, it won't be long for the 'no surrender' nigel lawson types to infer it's us exhibiting 'typical Irish victim behaviour' and sneer about how 'it's never the Irish's fault'.

Sadly, there's a few of them on this forum

Ah cock. I’m still confused, does this have var? It must not cause that looked offside to me.

Can’t say it’s not deserved though.
