The New low (I.) Q. Republicans and Ted Cruz

Those God-damned poor people making it harder for the rest of us! Why can’t they just feck off and die already so those of us who God chose not to be poor can get on with our lives?
Can’t kill them off. Who will have the forced birth babies?

She does appear to be actually, genuinely psychotic.

I don't think psychotic is right term, but she does exhibit features of some forms of mental illness - such paranoia, pronounced irrationality, cognitive dissonance, and more.

Her race won't be even remotely close, unfortunately. Her opponent will be lucky to get a third of her votes.
Think it might be closer than anticipated, but NW Georgia is a shithole of a place that sends worthless congresswomen to DC.

It's almost certainly going to be a redder year than 2020, and she got 74.7% of the vote then. She might lose a few conscientious Republicans, but even those will probably hold their noses and vote for her. There were articles about how her primary opponent was raising loads of money, and yet she got 15% in the primaries. She's staying in Congress. Until she gets herself thrown out, which I guess isn't out of the question. She's definitely crazy enough.

Dammit, nimic, stop being right.

In 2015 I said I hoped Trump wouldn't drop out of the Republican primaries too soon, so I could be entertained by his lunacy.

I thought the ridiculous riding down the escalator moment to announce his candidacy was like a Dukakis tank moment that would immediately disqualify him. He looked so ridiculous. If I knew then what I know now, I would not have been so flippant (and entertained).

Oh là là.

I'm just lost for words, really. And the people in that district actually chose THAT above a neurosurgeon in the Republican primary in 2020?

To be fair, this guy was a neurosurgeon as well so no telling if that makes anyone smarter:

I knew someone would go there. Carson sounds like he has been ingesting too many drugs over the years.

No, I saw a TV interview with the other guy, John Cowan during the previous primary, and he looked more like someone having the profile to represent constituents in Washington.

Yes, by the wealthy, usually Republican, people who control the oil and gas industry and are concerned about their bank balances. Oh, and the congress people and senators whom they buy with their filthy lucre, maybe even ones like you.

I bet if he had been asked if those public executions should be by being dropped live into an industrial meat grinder he would have agreed.
