The New Kits Thread

Is it just me or does every Real Madrid home kit look exactly the same? Season after season, they bring out a new kit and it looks near on identical to the previous one.

Maybe Real Madrid is to Adidas, what Manchester United is to Nike.

The biggest club they make the worst kits for?

I feel the same way about Chelsea.

Nah, Madrid actually have nice kits, they're just all the same. It's us and Barca that get fecked over by Nike year on year.

All the adidas kits are virtually identical (Chelsea, Madrid, Bayern? Have they actually had 4 different kits over the last 4 years?) because the major design feature is always the three stripe sleeve. Once that's a set feature of a yearly kit there's not much else you can do besides fecking with the collar. Or adding needless piping upon needless piping.

Though tbf, we're past the point of no return with all kits. Teams with solid colours but yearly kit changes are doomed to repeat the same basic ideas over and over ad infinitum. There's no end game either. Once we hit upon a nice kit (and I think this year's is nice) it's fecked up again after 12 months anyway. Teams with stripes or hoops or two tones can at least experiment with differing widths year upon year. It's a paltry, pathetic, needless little difference, but it's something.

It's all a fecking disgrace really, but no one cares enough to do anything about it.

I don't mind the Barca Nike kits to be honest, this year's home don't look right with all those stripes though I know why they done that.

Thinking a bit more about it, Real's kits last year were all really nice if I remember correctly.

As if it isn't enough that Nike give us the same dreadful design year after year, now we're stuck with that gaudy logo? It's safe to assume that I'm not buying anything with that abomination plastered on it.

I've always felt Adidas' kits are much better than those made by Nike. Seldom do I see a Nike kit that I like. The United 2007/08 comes to mind, really liked the look of that one.

Schalke's new one is simply gorgeous, love it! Leverkusen's kit for the new season isn't too bad either.

I wouldn't want United in an Adidas kit though, regardless of opinions on their quality, because I've become so used to seeing the stripes on the shoulders of other teams that play in red. An Adidas United kit would just look like a Liverpool or Bayern kit to me.

The annoying thing about Nike is that they make class kits for other teams. But for some reason they're obsessed with always including some sort of gimmick in United's designs, whereas all the fans want is just a nice simple, well-made and well fitted red kit.

That said, I think the leaked home shirt for next season is decent, and the away shirt... ok. It's the horrible logo which ruins them, and that's got nothing to do with Nike.

Adidas kit porn. NSFW!

Lovely Chelsea shirt.

Four nice Madrid jerseys in recent years imo. The home jersey is normally always nice. If it is true about the colour I definitely wont be getting the away jersey next year. What the hell are they thinking?

I just always hate watching all these nice kits get thrown about, then ours gets released and is a laughing stock to everybody.

I really would like to know how has the final decision on the shirts

The black Madrid one was also gorgeous. Bayern had a really nice black kit in 2011/12 which I regret not buying.

I'd happily take Madrid's situation and be given simple, well made but samey kits every year. But they do have an advantage in that a white kit looks like enough of a statement in itself. Just change the trim a bit each season and bob's your uncle. Couldn't get away with that with a more common colour like red or blue.

No idea if Citys home kit has been posted, but that looks nice also

Just looks really neat and tidy, but stands out.

I also like Udineses home kit. A bit out there, but looks really cool.
Again, sorry if posted

I actually like it. I do find the blue a little bit too bright perhaps, but overall it's not a bad kit in my opinion.

The problem with releasing new kits every season is that everyone wants the new kit to be different to look like work has been done in producing the kits. And they should expect it given that fans pay good money for these. That's why I prefer the old days where new kits were only released once every 2 or 3 years. Makes their purchase have more value.

The Milan one looks very nice.
Don' t know why they've put the shirt on a background that is identical to the shirt though, same with the Bayern pic. Be better to have a plain background so you can see it better

This is the first photo for next season's potential City shirt that seems to have a hint of authenticity about it.

How to ruin a kit: Put a collar and buttons on it.

Nike ruined City's kit with them and we will also get them next season which will already be a disaster even without the chevy logo.

Most of the Adidas kits look totally classy. I don't really give a stuff if they're very similar every year. As long as they're good, then it doesn't matter. No need for radical changes.

I bet it was ronaldos idea , he probably demanded the color :p. And what a sight it will be to see the terrifying monster pepe in pink
I could live with the orange one this season even though it reminded me of Valencia and Barca, or even the red or green one from past seasons. But pink? Seriously?

The first footballer that dares to get matching boots should get shot.

We all know who that will be . Its very obvious. Surely the players don't want to wear it. Every time we lose wearing it we will be mocked ruthlessly. I know full well there will be lots of photoshopped images and memes of Ronaldo in it.
