I hope this is not it

What are you on about Kotler?

It's only been officially announced last month and in the shops for weeks already.

Royal blue?

To be honest, I didn't understand why Nike used blue as an accent colour on our black kit when red would have looked considerably better. Just as I don't understand this "cyan" on the new Liverpool kit. Red would have worked better on that too, perhaps with yellow instead of black.

Anyway, we have a long tradition of wearing royal blue - our first away kit in 1902 was blue and white and was worn until the early 20s. All the United teams post WWII wore blue away kits in all but a handful of seasons. Liverpool don't have the same kind of association with those colours.

No it wasn't. It was an homage to the very same blue and white kit that the club wore in 1902-1922 and that I mentioned in the post you quoted. I've also mentioned that although Liverpool did wear blue for the first 4 years, that was because they were wearing Everton's cast-offs.

"Many think that we are red white and black, but that has not always been the case"

It has since we became Manchester United: "The Manchester Evening News of 8/8/1903 reported "New jerseys of bright red cashmere with red collar and white knickers and black stockings with blue tops". The basic colours were worn the previous season, only the jerseys were different. Newton Heath also wore red and white for a good few years. The blue was certainly part of our change/away kits for many years though, like I said, we've a long tradition of wearing blue (again I mentioned that in the post you quoted), but Liverpool haven't.

If that Liverpool kit didn't have that bizarre diagonbal stripe it would probably be pretty decent, but as it stands it looks horrible.

Not sure I'll spend 40 notes on our shirt.

06/07 and 07/08 best shirts of recent memory imo.

Adidas-made keeper shirts for Real and Spain are mostly short sleeved though. I can't recall any short sleeved Nike keeper shirts.

yes it is.
roo seems a little bit overweight here :wenger:

I take it you didn't see the picture of him on his holiday in one of other threads last week?

He's obviously one of those guys that puts on weight really easily. Expect him to balloon once he's all washed up.
