Has there even been any rumours about him going soon?

You guys will torture yourself all season long.

He's not getting sacked until it's mathematically impossible to get top 4.

It's a joke, farce, etc.

That's just how we operate unfortunately. Any other top club would have sacked him by now.

That’s not how it works. If the players are unmotivated it’s unequivocally down to the manager whether the chicken or the egg came first is irrelevant at the end of the day. Players aren’t robots they won’t start working their socks off at the click of the manager’s fingers. They definitely won’t work their socks off for any sort of romanticized reason if they can’t stand their manager, and there is an environment of constant turmoil the players will not perform and the manager is held responsible.
Two things.

Firstly, it is not “romanticised” to expect a player who does not like the manager to work hard on the pitch when they’re being paid £200k a week to play for the club, it is a minimum expectation.

Secondly, having watched Pogba week in week out for the last three years, yes he literally does switch it on at the click of his fingers. He is one of the most erratic players we’ve ever had, can go from amazing to abysmal in front of your eyes, and from not giving a feck to dominating the match in the space of a minute as well.

Oh, I'm fully aware he won't go until it's mathematically impossible for top 4. But still. I assumed there would be some rumours.

We’re just a rich Bolton Wanderers if we continue.

End it. Now.

I fully agree, I was fully on board with him. But Keano put it right he has to take a really hard look at himself and start performing for himself not for the manager because he has been absolutely shambolic of late.

I can understand that way of thinking, but it's ever increasingly difficult to play under such a manager and perform when he's doing his best to antagonise everyone around him.

Besides there were games when both him and Martial were crucial and basically singlehandedly saved Mourinho's job, not to mention that Pogba had little rest and no preseason this time due to WC campaign.

Can you please translate this @Peyroteo @SCP

According to reddit it's
Mourinho, 2015: Me, myself as a manager in the daily basis, there are things that I don't give a F- and that three, four, five years ago(2010, UCL with Inter) I thought that were very important.

Should open a thread on this. It's a serious discussion. We look like a team that isn't coached.

The thing is, I knew all this about Mourinho. I just thought that the Madrid job had got to him buy maybe coming here, he might become his old self again. Looking back, it was more hope than anything, I guess. Since the middle of last season I started losing faith in him but I backed him until the start of this season. The summer was an utter shit-show from start to finish so I had feck all hope going into this season. However, this season has absolutely been the stuff of nightmares and I have wanted him gone for months now. How he's still here and how he still has backers is beyond me.

I can see the reason behind your way of thinking. After being heavily criticized I said I was willing to give him the opportunity to prove me wrong but that would require him not throwing players under the bus, changing his off field antics and taking responsibility every once in a while, of course style of football goes without saying...wishful thinking all.

As I said before I honestly believe that Madrid job had changed him, it's the first time fans were against him as well. Winning alone wasn't enough, he was expected to do it as a favorite, winning in style. He's always thrived in the role of the underdog.

Imo best for him would be to take couple of seasons off and try to reinvent himself with some more attacking and more experienced coaching staff. Style like success is cyclical, during some years defensive football works, during some attacking football is the way to go, during some being pragmatic is the key etc.

He should have gone 2 month ago when there was still a possibility of a new manager making top 4, it's not going to be easy getting a top manager when top 4 is unlikely, especially if their current club is doing well.

He should have gone before or after Newcastle game regardless of result. But Neville and the other cry babies didn’t like the rumours of him going.

Three utterly terrible choices, in hindsight of course. I didn't want Moyes whatsoever, I didn't know enough about LvG but wanted anyone but Moyes at the time and I admit that I wanted Mourinho. I really expected Mourinho to bring back the good times but feck me, it has been another nightmare.
Hindsight, yes. The thing is, if even Mourinho failed, then there must be deeper problems in my opinion. That's why I don't think changing the manager is suddenly going to solve the problems at the club. But we'll see.

Utterly depressing knowing that there is no chance he’ll be sacked before March at the earliest.

No top club would act in this way and it’s a pisstake now.

I was critical of Mourinho's tactics even when the team was winning at the start of last season. And got a lot of flak for it. But I didn't expect that he is past it to that extent. He's really out of his depth now. No serious club should touch him. His methods seem terribly dated.

Jose won't be sacked before the summer, or at the very least a few games before the end of the season. Wishful thinking to believe otherwise.

There are other problems for sure but there is no basis whatsoever for keeping him at this point. He has to go.

Again I fully agree and the sad part is that most of the team looks the same. Even "his players" Lukaku,Matic ect ect are even worse than Pogba.
I understand Pogba up to a certain point but he is making it easy for Mourinho to pick him out.

I get delaying the Moyes sacking till April, since it still was the first season and there was always a slim possibility that things might get better when he imprints his ideas on the team, however dumb and delusional that idea might've been.

But Mourinho has been here for 3 seasons now. It's just not working and it won't just start working out of nowhere. This is ridiculous.

Exactly. Some are making out like this isn't his third fecking season here. And also, LvG had an FA Cup Final to play.

good morning, jose will stay at the club at least until february.
they will not fire him just 20 days before 2019.

Remember that if he sacked in 2018 he ll get 20 million.
if he sacked in 2019 its 8 or 9.

I can only think there is some truth to the sale rumours then, that can be the only reason the club are't acting now

Thought so. The board have messed around this season and wasted numerous chances to sack the fraud . All to save the 20 million or whatever it is

Honestly I don't believe it's down to them not wanting to spend another €15-20 million when they invested so much in this project under him already.

I firmly believe they either are still believing he can turn it around, or they're without ideas who can replace him and are not willing to appoint McCarrick (credit for this goes to some other Caftard) till the end of the season.

Miles behind 4th, knew Spurs and Chelsea had won and yet we still play for a draw. That should be a sacking offence by itself let alone the rest of the nonsense, outbursts, crap signings etc he brings. When is this nightmare ever going to end?! We'll probably get enough points v Cardiff and Huddersfield for him to stay for another few months, it's beyond farcical, he'd have been hounded out at any other big club on the planet by now.

Can't argue with that notion, he's been inconsistent this season, but I really can't take "attitude, pashun and dessiah" arguments for real, not when I can see week in-week out how horrible we look and how Pogba's, alongside Martial, always a go to guy to pull of a bit of magic and help us scrap something and that always requires from him to play with more risk, which in our system is equal to a suicide.
