Mate - Perisic was targetted to drop Martial out of the squad by Jose Mourinho. Whilst all his dear fans consider this to be Jose trying to use wing backs - this was a way of slowly dropping Martial for a harder working winger who provides width from the left hand side for a target man like Lukaku. This historically from Jose's tactics would allow him to use one inverted winger on the other side - the same summer who were we linked with? Thats right the left footed inverted winger that is Bale. This all happened in the first season where Jose came in and chucked Martial and Rashford under the bus by saying that they were not strikers for him and getting the 55 year old ZlatanAny how - what happens for Perisic? Apparently Inter wanted Anthony Martial in exchange. Let me guess in your eyes Woodward wanted Martial to go but Jose resisted this transfer because it was poor for Manchester Unietd

Even ignoring the fact that Mourinho has brought in 11 senior players, what you're saying just fails the reality test. We see new managers go to clubs and get them playing football the way they want in a matter of weeks and months all the time, that's entirely normal. Suggesting that managers need 15+ players handpicked just for their unique style or they can't succeed is just a really strange notion.

Just relax, probably most if not all of them are aware they're wrong but their ego won't let them admit their mistake.

My dream scenario in every game now is that the opponent get two early red cards and we somehow grab a lucky goal defending all game against 9 men with Matic, Fellaini and Lukaku stinking up the place. You realise Woodward is not a football coach or manager right? He's hired Mou (a bad decision IMO but that's irrelevant) and from what I can see is trying to back him as best he can. Woodward knows much more than you or I about the value these players can bring, I don't get why some fans make such a meal about how we're overpaying when the whole football world is doing the same. The issue isn't how much you pay, it's the player you get.
Also, if you sell players for peanuts you have to a) replace them and b) it sets a precedent which other clubs exploit. We used to lose our backup players for nothing prior to Woodward. If we were cash strapped you'd have a point but, as it is, you don't.
As long as top 4 is mathematically possible he wont be sacked. (Assuming there is a clause which makes it cheaper for not qualifying for CL)
