He's too much of a back-foot manager and hasn't really shown any signs of changing.

Football has moved on from him.

We got significantly outplayed in long periods during our last two matches (before today). What on earth are you on about?
Our last two matches were against 2 of the best 3 teams in Europe, both away. We actually even won one of them too.

I know it is shit but there is nothing much to say about us from this kind of match where we were expected to lose.

I think we have been pretty lucky in this tough run and I said it we would do decently before the run.

If we start dropping points against 'smaller teams', I think we should be worried again.

It is not losing the important issue. It is now we lost and now we played and play under Jose now.

I was referring to Bournemouth who dominated us for a half of football.

I don’t think they really dominated that game. They were better in the first half, we were better in the second. They are also in great form and always tough to play at their stadium.

That's true but there are still bad players in the squad since 2013, even then they are not good enough. It's both Jose and the board fault.

Those players won the league.

Jose's getting nothing out of the players

100% serious. I think we’ve been fine recently.

To an extent I agree that we have been better particularly against Chelsea and 2nd half of Bournemouth. But that's balanced out by our pathetic performances against Newcastle first half, Bournemouth first half, and horrendous performances against Juventus x 2.

Anyone who thinks we could have prevented today by signing Harry fecking Maguire is seriously deluding themselves.

Mourinho has to go, he cannot or doesnt know how to coach this team.

Plenty of fickleness here,we have just won at Juventus and lost at a team thats playing FM on cheat mode....

Mate we are 8th. Its got F all to do with those games individually. 8th, -1 goal difference and are regressing at an alarming rate.

Bad finish this season and whats to keep De Gea Pogba and Martial here because without them we are even more of a joke.

This is a major problem with Jose, all it takes is one loss and we're back to here again, this after a fairly decent run of results.

I'm not disagreeing either, I dislike having him as our manager intensely, but we all know what City are, so it's hard to stick the boot in too much.

So we should be happy to be a team outside the top four ?

Juve away was far from horrendous.

I think we have improved significantly over the last 3-4 weeks. We had a slow start with a few hiccups but are all right at the minute. I don’t dramatize because of a loss at Etihad, all our top 4 rivals will lose there too.
An improvement over being pathetic isn't much to shout about really.

Neville getting stumpedd on Sky. Doesn't want to admit the truth that the manager isn't doing a good enough job.

Top 4 has been the only realistic aim for weeks but even that is hard because we have to pray for 2 teams to capitulate while hoping we don't ourselves drop points against big or small sides.

Imagine a Mourinho team with two out and out attacking midfielders as part of a midfield three, dominating teams and winning leagues. Nope, I can’t either

One day United fans will realise he isn't quite the punditry genius he's made to seem. Very one track minded

We’re literally 8th with a negative goal difference after 12 games.
They’re not playing FM on cheat mode, they’ve bought well and they have the top coach in the business, they are a very very well coached side.

It's just another waste of a season. Our team is in a dire state despite some pretending otherwise, although it could be improved quite quickly if done well, albeit for a massive amount of money.
And we should have a far better system too, which would at least get us up somewhere up there comfortably (unlike last season).

We're just not heading in the right direction. We're coasting while way off the pace.

Can't believe a few comebacks that shouldn't even have been needed were enough for some to be won back over.

Going into every game like losers and coming out in every second half like scrappy underdogs isn't my idea of good and is frankly a disgrace in the third season. It might be good if you came from well below where we are, but not when you fall from where we were.

Nothing different for me. Like today, we were poor against Juve, but we didn't get that bit of luck tonight. Regardless of results, the actual performances matter to me, and, based on them these past 2+ years, I want José out sooner rather than later.

haste? are you bloody serious?

Of course, I'm bloody serious. You're talking as if we are the first side to go to Etihad and be pumped like this. It's hardly the result to ask for his head and board would be stupid to bin him on the basis of this considering last 3-4 weeks where we've played well and won important points. Fixtures look kind all the way to New Years, it's time for Mourinho to take this team on a run.

It's not to do with dislike. It's about mismanagement. I didn't say a CL place is a lost cause, I said I don't believe we'll get it with this under performing manager of ours.

Also, I don't see myself as an expert on the managerial pool but I believe there's always talent out there waiting to rise to the top. Zidane came from somewhere. Pep came from somewhere. I don't feel a necessarily need a top manager to replace Mourinho. If anything, the last 5 years have conclusively proven that big name managers and players aren't necessarily the way forward. Performance and good work does better than mere reputation.

I completely agree with you but tell me honestly do you believe Ed Woodward has the ability or judgment to pick out one of these managers for us? I feel that's where the hunt for a new manager mid-season ends for me.

They are cheating, but that's not the point, the point is we're not good enough from top to bottom. Like you say, 8th with that GD is pathetic.

Gary Neville is a stubborn fool.

Read his book if you want confirmation of this. Strong minded, strong opinions - and he sticks to them.

He doesn't believe in sacking managers and he never will.

One day United fans will realise he isn't quite the punditry genius he's made to seem. Very one track minded

He's clutching at any straw he can find while Zabaleta and Sounees are telling the truth. It's pathetic really.

Juve away was far from horrendous.

They should have won 4-0. But even if that wasn't horrendous, how horrible was our home performance against Juventus? That was a nothing display. Juventus didn't even get into 2nd gear.

Neville getting stumpedd on Sky. Doesn't want to admit the truth that the manager isn't doing a good enough job.
Not really, he's basically saying what i've been saying myself in here, there's no guarantee another manager will do better with this group of players.

Plenty of fickleness here,we have just won at Juventus and lost at a team thats playing FM on cheat mode....

We're having a terrible season. Starting games like brainless zombies and coming out in the second half like a newly promoted side. Manchester United.

8th place in the table is a pretty damning statistic, the table doesnt lie and yes Mourinho has been found wanting,BUT,this is a collective failure right from the top down!

Can't wait for the day he's gone.
No semblance of a cohesive style of football even after 3 years. Not even another 500 million would be enough for this coward.
Where's fred? They guy he spent 50 million on. Up against the most dynamic and fluid midfield in the league and he's left him to warm the bench.
