De Gea is my 90's player done, he would do for a final.

There isn't actually many Spanish players at all I would want in a completed team - really it's only one of Xavi or Iniesta. Not fussed about any of the others going forward.

Yeah. I trawled through your messages to find whom you prefer. If you are going to be off, give me a quick shortlist if possible. Top of your mind, no research stuff.

You still need a RW and maybe a backup CM.

I'm so biased now regarding Gomez because he's been great for me in FM. Before that I wouldn't have given him much thought :lol:

I'm unsure about the CB pairing. Not their ability but their compatibility. It's a very physical team. Everyone apart from James. Looks like something Mourinho would manage. Every position you've filled is like picked by him. I'm guessing that was the case and the tactics employed will be similar. Annoying really. Before I thought about it I thought my team would play circles around your team, only really having to worry about Cambiasso but after thinking about it I'm glad that I have Adriano up front if we were to meet and Hazard v Maicon.

Before the write-ups have been written I can imagine myself not being able to vote on games. It really might come down to player favorites at times. Teams are so even. In a league format competition it might be different but judging the teams on a cup style knock-out format will not make me a betting man.

Its a solid side, the CB's are both quite physical and not quite top tier.. the midfield is defensively solid but lacking a lil on the controlling a game front, and Bale/Gomez is physically powerful but it isn't the most eye catching of attacks. The team needs a little more silks.

Tbh, I'd consider Cole - Cambiasso - Bale was one of the best left flanks in this draft. Maicon at his prime will own the other flank with a RW yet to come. Most attacks will come wings with Rodriguez orchestrating play. Think we need more silk?

I think Cole is great defensively, he'd be perfect for me - so I rate him highly, just saying he ain't great going forwards. Bale is pace and power, but he needs to be surrounded by a silky striker to get the best out of him and negate his perceived weaknesses. Gomez, I have never rated tbh however if your game is geared towards getting crosses in.. it may be seen as a dangerous side.

It is a solid team, more than a match for anyone. The right winger could make a big difference though in terms of how I perceive the side. Others may see it differently.

I had the 5 who went first as in tier 1, Handanovic and Lloris in tier 2 and then a whack of dudes in tier 3.

Same. Also had two other goalkeepers that are still unpicked that could also be considered tier 2.

So, I feel like Mertesacker is the type of defender that will improve next to T.Silva, plus he offers me more aerially while I can count on Silva on the ground.
I'm happy with the balance there
