Difference is that Till was already found out at 170 when he fought Woodley. It's an area he needs to improve but I just feel Till will carry that power with him to 185.

I feel that the same problems would carry over to 185 - only with heavier strikers in opposition.

Guessing that is him not fighting again for a while if ever again in the UFC.

He's definitely fighting in the UFC again.

That's probably the promo footage for the fight they'll now have sorted, Madvidal Vs Edwards will be the next fight for both of them.

UFC will pretend to be annoyed and then milk if for all it's worth and probably encourage Madvidal to bring it up at any opportunity in press conference etc

Which begs the question - where does Askren go now? Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s forced to rematch Lawler even more now.

Yeah unfortunately for him he's in a pretty tricky spot now.

Madvidal Vs Edwards
Covington Vs Usman
All the appeal and name value of Till has gone probably (lost 2 in a row should be 3)
I agree it's probably Lawler again

fecking hell.

Oh and @TheReligion I agree on the Askren part, and it would make sense as it would actually get a lot of attention.

Underestimate Jorge Masvidal at your own peril. Does it get any more gangster than him? Top man.

You’re probably right. It’s just I’m sure UFC cut a guy for something similar but then he wasn’t really a name, then I remembered Jones DC had fists and did Chiesa and Ferguson’s meal ticket not manage to actually exchange as well.

UFC only really force the rules when it suits them.

He'd have probably got some form of fine/suspension if it was in the states but as there's no commission here I don't think he'll get much if anything by way of punishment from the UFC.

You thinking of Daley mate after the bell??

I think UFC isn't arsed now with stuff like this they know it gets people talking. They had a segment about it after the show

Nah that wasn’t it but I had forgotten about that one. Slightly different scenario that one. I really can’t remember who it was that was involved it was that long ago, just remember Dana saying he’ll never fight again so on so on.

As someone else pointed out this was in England, the commission I doubt can do anything about it and for the UFC headlines are basically what they live for so Dana is probably already crunching the numbers on how much he can get out of this.

On the contrary. These sorts of handbags probably take place behind the scenes more often than we think when the cameras aren’t rolling. Masvidal is a belt contender so I doubt this will amount to anything. If anything the 2 KOs in one night narrative will only add to his Cantona-esque legend and be used as marketing fodder when he faces Usman for the belt.

2 KO’s? Who else did he knock out?

He means beating Till and bruising up Leon.
I thought he must have meant he went after someone else later I didn’t know about that he knocked out because I don’t even think he landed any thing clean on Edwards at all. Missed the first and the rest looked covered.

Nah, Edward face was busted up, you can see in the video. Don't think Gunni did that unless I'm mistaken.

Take a look at Edwards' face at about the 1:00 mark.

Still looks like nothing punches that were mostly covered or missed, couple of them look like slaps as well or sparring punches with no power. Something has obviously made contact though for that scratch and swelling.

Just when you said he KO’d 2 people I was wondering if he’d gone after someone else as well as Edwards certainly wasn’t KO’d there.

Was looking back at some of Masvidals street fights earlier, still fights exactly the same, also saw Ali is claiming he should get the title shot before Covington, slimes price of work probably thinking Usman will just do a smother job and sit on top of him all night.

He clearly connected on him which drew blood. Slaps don’t do that, punches do.

Look at the original clip first one misses and after that Edwards throws up his hands and looks to be catching most on his arms taking away any real danger and in bare knuckle it doesn’t take that much to open a face. Most of it looks covered or harmless some of them slaps, ie he hasn’t turned the knuckle over. Still doesn’t look like he landed anything clean which is what I said in the original post Edwards blocks or takes the power away by catching most of the punch.

What’s funnier is if you watch Masvidals interview he says he approached him with his hands behind his back to show he didn’t want to fight but Edwards threw up his hands when he came close so the Masvidal threw, which is bollocks. He leaves the interview with his hands behind his back but when he turns that corner his hands are by his side and Edwards hasn’t raised anything until Masvidal throws that hook. Then you see Edwards hands come up. In slo mo there are only 2 shots that look like they could have connected and 1 is a right hand that looks more like a palm strike which is partially blocked. That’s the one that must have cut him as no other strike comes near after that except possibly a short left which wouldn’t have caused that.

Most will be of the opinion that he shouldn't act like a thug, but I just say you don't talk shit to somebody whose nickname is 'gamebred' and then go to stand in his face.

Look at Jones/DC, McGregor dolly, Khabib star jump etc.

UFC will say it's disgusting and horrible. Then use the clip to promote the next fight.

possibly but youve just mentioned 4 of the biggest names in ufc history. they tend to look after them more so than normal fighters. you could quite easily quote paul daley and what happened to him for pretty much the exact same thing. i hope he isnt suspended.

Exactly. It's Masvidal, he's in the sweet spot of the make an example out of group of fighters.

Yes, Masvidal's explanation was a bit of a cover up from what actually happened. Still, he managed to clock Edwards at least once which is why he had a bloody cut.

Masvidal has even boasted about being a sucker punch artist in the past, which is precisely what happened here.

So annoying with all these UFC videos who are not been made available in my country.

Depends on your definition of clocked? Because from the off I’ve said doesn’t look like he got anything “clean” which means Edwards blocked most of the punch. Didn’t say there wasn’t at least some contact, In fact I even said that clearly something touched him for him to have a scratch and swelling. But only 1 right goes through and from the looks of it it’s a palm strike and Edwards has got his left up stopping a clean contact for Masvidal.

I’m more intrigued now by the dirtbag that is Alli Azziz somehow claiming Masvidal deserves the title shot
