The MMA thread

Be interesting what Woodley says about it. I think after round 2 he had nothing to give with the body shots.

Still though, zero movement other than backward steps toward the fence to accept some punishment.

World class from Usman. Not sure what else Woodley could've done in terms of strategy with Usman working non-stop as he was.

not sure re Woodley. almost like he wasnt trying or maybe usman was just that good. seemed strange. usman's cardio is feckin insane

Woodley destroyed!

Usman shouldn't be throwing f-bombs and stuff while holding his kid.

Usman is a monster and the pace was incredible but Woodley could have stopped him closing the distance so easily, Usman was pressuring forward but Woodley stepped back just as much if not more. If Woodley after round 1 or 2 starts to circle and use his feet, or just walk into Usman, it's potentially a different fight.

Usman is an elite level grappler. Had no problems coming up against RDA and Woodley.

Who was the issue with in the crowd?

Desperately hope we get to see either Tyron or Usman destroy Colby.

I don't understand why the ref broke the fight up so many times, Usman was working all the time when on the ground.

Colby is a totally different fight for Usman, will he way more aggressive. Very interesting clash of styles, they both do a lot of similar things. His cardio will hold up though.

This fight was a disgrace to be honest. Smith has no business being in there.

Looks like Dana is attempting to fast track Johnny Walker to the top to set him up with a Jones fight. Santos would seem the next one though.

Rogan anointed two WW goats tonight. In the walkouts he called Woodley the WW goat, and in the postfight interview I think I heard him call Usman the WW goat.

Dude needs to stop smoking so much weed.

Great card overall.

Highlight of the night: Cody getting his lights punched out, the fecking dafty.

I admit that I dislike Jones on so many levels but my God the man is otherworldly -- scariest man on planet earth.

Strange that Woodley never got going. A great fighter just not up for it tonight for some reason. Jones, not my favorite personality, is just a great fighter. So versatile, he got everything. Great to see Colby being knocked out and strange call on the Askren fight

Initially, I thought Dean got it spot on after Lawler's arm went limp - which was clear. What's also clear now, is that Lawler gave Dean thumbs up when Dean touched his arm to see if Lawler was out, yet Dean stopped the fight anyway.

Looks a bad call.

I don't think he knows what "of all time" means, he constantly calls Sam Kinison the greatest comic of all time for that brief window when he was good, that one year -.-.

Some Garbrandt hate but man nobody can deny his fights are exciting to watch. Clearly a very emotional person and that without a doubt played a part on the TH losses. Last night he just made a mistake going balls to the wall crazy but feck me even if you don't like the guy that was pretty damn awesome to watch. Give me this dude all day long over over the top cautious fighters.

No one is saying he's boring to watch... They'd be lying if they say that. People are saying his fight i.q is beyond shit. How has he lost three guys in a row in EXACTLY the same way.
