The MMA thread

Wow just wow

Cody's fight IQ is in single digits.

Cody is an idiot. I wonder at what point he realizes he needs to change gyms, 3 fights in a row now he loses in similar fashion.

After all the shit he talked about TJ.. Just imagine.

This card, including the prelims, has been excellent so far, right from the get go.

Seriously though, 3 fights in a row. 2nd fight fight vs TJ he got blitzed and shows no improvement vs Munhoz.

No I agree with you. He needs a different approach in the octagon. It's just that if he changes team he'll end up getting pelters for it like you wouldn't believe.

Meathead in the ring like he is outside.

Was in control and landing good shots. Had the round won. Just see it out.

He was definitely sharper with his hands in the early round but the leg kicks were going to end his fight anyway i think, after that headkick and scramble i think he just lost the rag as usual and wanted to end it rather than get his shin brutalised for another round.

For all the hype around this card I'm not expecting too much from the title fights. Woodley-Usman could be tedious, both guys tend to be cautious. Jones-Smith is a a pretty horrendous mismatch.

The under-card is delivering big time though. Some great stuff already.

I'm looking forward to see Askren's debut and also Woodley and Usman both with big wrestling backgrounds, it will be interesting for me personally. And I'm obviously expecting Jones win.

feck me, Lawler absolutely dumping him and pounding on him, credit Askren sticking in and going back to controlling Lawler and getting his back...

I thought he was out before Askren released.

Then Lawler accepting the bad call like an absolute gent.

Pretty shitty interview after from Askren...

Askren is a character, looking forward to him going at Dana.
Feel for Lawler, that was a bad decision but he took it like a pro.

Good call imo. You can see Lawler's hand go limp and Dean had clear view of it, not only that he touched Lawler's arm to get a response. He ended it and rightly so. Though, I csnt believe Askren survived that early mauling. Funky can't just rely on wrestling and tonight showed glaring holes in his game.

Is that Ali Aziz losing his mind to Usman's walkout music? Now, there is an unlikeable guy right there.

And then it explodes.

Now both guys are exhausted.

Woodley didn’t even put up a fight. Almost a suspicious lack of urgeny.
