Have you been attending both their training camps then, or are the foundations from your prediction based around body language during a press conference?

From a more realistic point of view: this is incredibly hard to call. Coming out with predictions like that is just plain stupid. You never know how a fight is going to go. Conor has the knockout power, Khabib has the stamina and ground game as we all know already, 2 completely different fighters.

No. Of course I haven’t been attending both camps. I can tell you it’s a very bad match up for Conor. Unless he sparks him in the first round he’s done for. Khabib will smother him.

Would you call it French?

Quite genuinely my French is better than his Irish and I would never claim to speak French.

The only phrase he actually seems comfortable with is "can I go to the toilet?", coincidentally one of the few phrases in Irish nearly every Irish person (including children) knows.

In fairness, literally anything can happen. One wrong move by either could easily be an instant momentum changer. The obvious still applies - if things remain standing up then Conor could knock him out. If Khabib gets his hands on him then it will result in Conor getting smothered.

Yeah I know anything is possible in the cage but I just don’t see McGregor catching him like he did with Aldo. I know it’s possible but there is a slim chance of that realistically speaking. Think Khabib will have too much stamina for him. Conor not having anywhere near level of take down defence of ground game to do anything to Khabib when he gets taken down. I think it’s going to be a mauling.

Edit: Pretty much have and had for a long time, the exactly same view as the bloke from 2:30 onwards.

I thought Barbosa would do much better against Khabib. The danger for Conor will be taken down as I don't really think he has a ground game that is any better than Barbosa's. Once Khabib got him down he spent the rest of the fight absolutely mauling him. The look of sheer exasperation on Barbosa's face was pretty sad.

Rogan's comment about a spider injecting venom into its prey was spot on.

1:00 onwards

I’ve seen that fight. Barboza did really well to last 3 rounds. He looked totally gassed just trying to break free from Khabib. And Barboza has decent take down defence but it was useless against Khabib.

I mean Khabib made 21 take downs in 3 rounds against Abel Trujillo who was a four-time NAIA All-American champion. Rag dolled RDA who’s a black belt bjj. Unless Conor sparks him, he’s getting taken down and mauled. It’s just a horrible match up. Tony is much more dangerous for Khabib imo.

 Conor completely embarrassed himself again. Absolute clown.

Can't wait for oct 6 when he'll get humbled by Khabib. It's going to be glorious.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if he somehow had an excuse to pull out from this. All that fake confidence, you have to be really dim to not see through it. His fans will still lap it up though.

I’m not a massive Connor fan. But if khabib tries to take him down 21 times then I hope to got Conner knocks him out with a trademark left. Like to see ufc fights stood up personally.

Connor brings that entertainment. I’m routing for him not because of his antics or personality I just like his interesting style. I always back the unorthodox strikers in any ufc match up.

Fair enough. Each to their own I guess. I used to do Judo back in my youth so I appreciate a good trip and some wrestling. I do find Conor aesthetically pleasing to watch though. I actually don’t mind him at all. I just think Khabib wins this as long as he does what he usually does - which is apply incredible pressure from the start and walking his opponents down, looking for that take down. I mean if he backs off, cause he’s afraid of Conor clipping him, I think that would be a bad strategy for him. But hey, who knows.

The vast majority of Irish people speak English as their first language rather than their native Irish. McGregor himself obviously can't speak more than a handful of words in Irish.

Given McGregor was claiming his family were some sort of legendary Irish fighters who took on the English invaders, Khabib basically asked why McGregor could now only speak those foreign invaders' language rather than his own.

I remember McGregor slagging off RDA for adopting his "conquerors" language in the build-up to their fight. I wondered how long it would take someone else to point out that he shouldn't be speaking in English in that case.
Well he did say Do i have permission to go to the toilet on the bus in perfect Irish in response..Its probably his best response of the night.

"In perfect Irish". C'mon now, "can I go to the toilet?" is a damn hard sentence to feck up no matter how weak your Irish is.Though he was lucky that it sort of fit in with him saying Khabib shat himself.

He's a salesman first, fighter second.

Not sure about that. The way things have panned out okay - but there is a fighter in there for sure. I’d personally like him to win he is a proper stand up fighter and can hit people at any angle. I don’t find Khabib’s style entertaining at all, never mind conferences.

Conor always brings some excitement one way or another. Like to see them trade some blows not hug on the floor for 5 rounds

He's a very good fighter. I just think his primary skill set is as a salesman. None of his cards would do as well as they do unless he could sell them the way he does.

He went to an Irish speaking school, he's pretty well versed. Not fluent but he can speak it well.

He struggled in that video you posted but I've seen and heard him speak it very well elsewhere.

I can see a few in here having orgasms...

Oh err em. .

Bullet has to be far too strong for JJ. It's not a technical issue, both being outstanding it's a size and strength thing. Can anyone else see anything but a dominant Valentina win?

Can't believe this is happening though , I mean Valentina v JJ !!!!!!

Edit: Just checked and im off work that weekend, thank feck for that!

If that's the standard, I can speak Spanish. And French.

Maybe it's more fair to say he can't speak fluent Irish? In which case, Khabibs point has merit.

You can have your own opinion, of course. But it is a MMA fight in the UFC.

A lot of fighters can, and have, stood and punched. You can probably go to the pub on any given weekend and find a few people who like to scrap.

The art of wrestling has its appeal. And imo, involves more skill and that makes me appreciate it more.

Holy shit, undefeated AJ McKee Jr. made it quick and KO'd Macapá in like 30 seconds.

12-0 record, longest winning streak on Bellator, and only 23 years old. Impressive.

Don't think i heard of anyone on this card, except someone i think just have similar names with more famous fighters.
Can still be a good card, though.

Good finish, that.
Only seen last 2, but if they keep ending that quick, it'll be a short night :p

Was very close to being submitted in first round, so good comeback.
