Impressive from Woodley. Till didn't touch him; and once he landed that right hand and dropped him you could tell Till was hurt/out of his depth.
Till's still young and confident reckon he'll come back from this and be on the scene for a while; quite glad to see him lose though he was getting insufferable.

Glad Woodley won, but I wanted a boring slow grind decision just to see Dana's head explode

Feel sorry for Karolina Kwahahfjdkh. She can come round mine if she needs a shoulder to cry on.

Just watched the fight, I remember Woodley on Rogans podcast saying how he really studies his opponents down to the minutiae and develops a plan to shut them down ... looks like it worked wonders as Till didn't get a single thing off and got dominated, very impressive.

Amazing fight between Aldana and Pudilova. Some real quality, high level striking on display there. Could have gone either way and shame there was a loser.

Till looked nervous I thought, but he'll come back stronger. As insufferable he is before a fight, at least he's not a dick in defeat.

Still gutted not to see Valentina fight.

Wonder if he'll still stick around at welterweight for a few more fights or if this will push him up, if he'd won it would've made sense to defend the title a few times then go up but now it will take a few fights (at least) to get another title shot.

After such a one sided defeat, he might as well move up.

Yep, at least he made a name for himself with this run. Now he can move to MW and still be a draw, but no way he is fighting for a belt anytime soon. Way too many killers at middleweight. In my opinion, Borrachina or Stylebender would make easy meal of Till, never mind the top 5 guys.

If he decides to stay at WW, good luck getting past Kamaru, Ponizinibio, Queefington. No more fast tracking.

I agree he should move up. He has proven himself as a legitimate contender at WW and could easily do the same at MW. No more weight cuts either.

Has he though? He best Cerrone, who has looked average at WW and a split decision against Thompson on home turf, which could have gone either way.

Then he gets mauled by Woodley.

He beat Wonderboy who is #1 in the division aside from Woodley, so yeah I'd say he has nothing left to prove aside from a rematch with Woodley which wouldn't happen for some time. So rather than muck about at WW, he should move up now.

I agree he should move up.

But he "beat" Wonderboy on home advantage. Most of the press and them had WB winning that. Was razor thin.

If you simply look at W and L then you're right but sometimes there's more to it then just stats.

Either way, I hope he just moves up now. No point killing himself to cut weight.

That's good enough for me. Had Wonderboy knocked him out via a round house kick then Till would be better off staying at WW...but wins v Cowboy and Wonderboy and the prospect of waiting a long time for a Woodley rematch suggest its not worth for him to stay. Also, Till's frame isn't made for WW - he would be better off fighting at 185 without having to worry about weight cuts, and where he can square off against the likes of Weidman and others.

Is Till actually a draw? I just assumed i knew of him because I lived in the North West.....and that he never makes weight.

The UFC could do with an English star now that Bisping has retired. Hence the Till express.

He seems to have a decent following compared to most others in the division. I doubt he's a big draw but I'm sure compared to Woodley, Wonderboy, Covington etc they would rather have the title on Till than any of them 3.

I kind of felt bad for him watching it. He was way out his depth and got pushed into a title he should of been nowhere near. Same as the Ngannou situation really. I don't quite get this he should move up cos he's proven himself as a legitmate contender. He beat Cowboy who had lost his previous 2 (and is currently 1-4) and he barely beat Wonderboy (if anything he lost the fight) that's hardly a legitimate contender. He might want to move up cos he clearly struggles massively with the weight but I wouldn't say it's cos he's done all he can. Giving a champion one of the easiest nights of his career and barely winning a fight is hardly a massive achievement at that level. Till handled the loss well in fairness to him, I dol think he'll have more success at a higher weight class mainly due to the cut....his whole "this should be illegal what I'm doing" stuff kind of looks stupid though

Dana a disgrace as usual afterwards cos the one he wanted to win didn't. No congratulations for Woodley, no turning up to the post fight press conference, no debrief that he normally does with Megan Olivi. It's embarrassing the way he acts these days and it's hardly like he's justifying it with bringing in massive views and money. The Conor gravy train probably ends in the next 1-2 fights and after that they have no one, mainly cos Dana shits all over his fighters. Woodley again is a prime example of someone you could promote massively.

He said he made weight no bother at all and was still eating loads and there are still good fights in that division, Usman and Colby as well as an eventual rematch if Woodley is still around. Probably best to stay where he is, try and get his hands on the belt then later when he is older move up when he starts to find it harder to cut down.

Interesting from Schaub, especially the last bit.

Schaub is clueless, he's making excuses as to why he thought Till would win and now he was duped by the UFC for doing so.

Duane and Killashaw on JRE as we speak btw

I'm referring specifically to his criticism of the UFC (Dana White in particular) attempting to cast one of their best fighters (Woodley) as uninteresting and hoping he loses. Its a stupid strategy that will backfire in the end as he is clearly not going anywhere soon.

It's strange. Woodley is a great fighter, decent looking guy and pretty cool (just collaborated a track with Wiz Khalifa). He's so marketable! I actually think being American is his downside, there are so many good fighters from the U.S its difficult to know which one to get behind. Till (English), McGregor (Irish) and Khabib (Russian) being the only guys to make noise in the UFC from their countries draws them a lot of home fans I guess.

Agreed. That's why - as Schaub suggested - the UFC are going to get hurt by keeping Dana in his position, as having a President who privileges his own personal grudges over the best interests of the company is simply bad business.
