The MMA thread

Just lucky really. The main card picks are normally thought out. The prelims are pure guesswork.

Yeah Ronda's assistant is a prick. Mouthing off at everyone looking for a fight and then runs away when anyone stands up to him.

Exactly, what a horrible little cnut. "You know I'm gonna get kicked off the show, right?"

We got a 5 round snoozefest on our hands here I feel....

He's pissed because y'know, Carraway threatened to smash Ronda's teeth down her throat. How would you react when meeting a guy who threatened to do that to one of your close female friends?

Thankfully it picked up a bit after I went to bed. Had Silva, Kim and Shields all to win which makes up for Dillashaw and Pierce. 6 out of 8 but my champion lost.

Silva/Hamill was ridiculous. Both should be cut based on that performance, embarrassing how out of shape they both were.

And he apologised for it dozens of times since, that horrible little cnut just likes all the drama. I hope he gets his ass kicked by a real fighter.

Of course he's going to apologise, he had no real choice unless he wanted to completely feck his career up (what little there is of it).

Either way, you can't complain about somebody reacting like that when coming into contact with them. A process like this takes emotional investment. I'm not saying Ronda's coach reacted in the right way or even defending him, but it's easy to understand why he reacted like that to be perfectly honest.

I'm absolutely shocked that there's actually people defending that cnut Caraway. This is the same twat that said what he did to Ronda as well as apparently elbowing Cat Zingano.

He tweeted something, and then deleted it straight away. He has apologized numerous times both to her face and through the media. What else can he do? Ronda has tweeted equally stupid things but gets away with it because she's the golden girl. Ronda has been getting into Caraways face consistently trying to get he or Tate to react. She is an idiot of the highest order. And then her coach, that fool. Such a big man saying he'll smash everybody but as soon as anyone looks at him he runs and hides behind Ronda like a little girl.

Agree with you on Hamill and Silva. That was a disgrace. Silva looked so badly out of shape, how can any pro fighter let themselves go like that? Even if he had an injury, that's no excuse. Hamill should have stayed retired.

I don't think anyone had defended Caraway. Caraway said what he said and has apologized enough. Ronda is now only bringing that up constantly to get some support. Tate hasn't defended Caraway, she said it was wrong and it shouldn't have happened. That's enough. It was about 3 years ago at this stage.

Ronda bringing it up constantly makes her look like a cnut. Tate comes across extremely well in comparison. Ronda's coach comes across as a complete prick. Whereas Caraway says nothing, he knows better.

I know who I will be rooting for when the two fight, although I'll know who wins 90% of the time. I'm only waiting for the day Cyborg comes in and beats her. Tate has little or no hope. She is barely ranked in the top ten.

Regardless, Ronda's coach is a prick. Did anyone see him get in Hallman's face, like he does to Caraway? And then when Hallman reacted, he actually ran away and hid behind Ronda. It was embarrassing.

Fair dues, if that's how you see it then that's up to you. I'm not defending the coach, but can completely understand why he doesn't like Caraway. Tate/Ronda have much more history too, the roles have been completely reversed in the past, which wasn't anywhere near as showcased as what TUF obviously is and therefor most are just seeing how Ronda is currently coming across in the present.

Rousey also takes out Cyborg all day long. It won't happen though, Cyborg will continue to avoid her. Cyborg would come in like the reckless animal that she is, which is how nine times out of ten she defeats her opponents. Problem is, Rousey would take her down within an instance and break her arm. You can practice all day long to stop what Ronda does, nine times out of ten you fail though. It won't happen now she has the clown Ortiz doing her business though.

Looked to me like Palhares did an extra twist at the end before he let go, after he recognized the tap. But it is all of one second, and it's a sport where someone can get hurt a lot worse than that.

Still, I get the idea he did it on purpose, and as he's been accused of it before I have to agree he's a cnut, feck him.

I'm starting to understand why he would say that based on her overall attitude.

I was gonna say d'lusion isn't just a river in Egypt. Somehow it doesn't seem right tho!

Rhonda is way overhyped and has enormous, ENORMOUS holes in her game. Maybe she can close them? I doubt it, she already seems to have one foot out the door for a career in hollywood. Cyborg would murder her. Cyborg is a far more complete fighter. Don't get me wrong, Rhonda has a chance, but it's a Henderson/Fedor type chance. She's gotta get lucky to win.

Rhonda has been running from Cyborg her entire career. I see no reason why it won't continue.

Don't be ridiculous, you honestly believe for one moment that Cyborg is a more complete fighter? Cyborg is a bulldozer, come out like a maniac on a lot of occasions, powerful and strong (don't get me wrong, I'm not saying she's a shit fighter). Ronda is a much more technically sound fighter and people fail to realise how good her standup is since working with Lucier Rijker to improve her boxing. She's without a doubt got a better ground game and you know that when you go to ground with Rousey, likely outcome is you're tapping out.

You're living on a completely different planet if you think Ronda Rousey is running away from Cyborg. You'll find every single issue is down to Cyborg. Getting herself banned for a year for illegal substances, taking on Ortiz to do her business, refusing to make the cut to fight the CHAMPION at the correct weight and so on. Running my ass mate. With Ortiz now alongside her though it's quite likely we'll never see the fight happen anyway. But hey, fair enough man if that's how you see it.

Nothing beats a bit of violence to help forget about the footy.

I'm hoping for knockouts and loads of blood tonight,

I'm going for Nelson to cause an upset

Tonight Junior Dos Santos proves he's the best heavyweight in the world.

fecking love Sanchez, great to see him back in the cage, should be a cracking fight. Card overall is brilliant IMO.
