Jones did some serious damage with his roundhouse elbows. Without those, a split decision may have been the result.
Just saw the fight. Got to say, I thought Jones lost that. A couple rounds were clear cut winners but clearly a few of them could have swung either way. Seemed pretty easy to give the first 3 to Gus but could give a couple of them to either.

Gus might well feel robbed there. He was beating Jones up for the first 19 minutes of that fight.

Decision was an absolute disgrace. Incredible fight ruined by horrendous judging.
I thought Jones 100% won 4 and 5. Round 2 Jones got it barely. 3 was a toss of a coin with gus maybe. Only clear round for Gus was No.1
But very happy it was Jones with the win.
I can't stand Jones one single bit, but putting that aside, I don't believe for one moment he won this fight. Judging wise I'm also talking the 49-46 (though one place online scored it an unbelievable 45-50).
Take a razor thin decision, fair enough, even if I don't agree with it what so ever. Scoring it in his favor 49-46 is just a joke. For me Gus took him apart for the first three rounds and while Jones came back with a great effort in the final two, it still wasn't enough in my mind.
Gustaffson comes out looking incredible (and in fairness, Jones comes out looking good too with his first war of a title fight and showing he can come from behind and has fight in him). His takedown defence was immense.

I still think Gustafsson won round 4. I watched it again and he controlled the majority of the round. Jones did damage in the last minute but Gus was excellent in that round.

I actually thought Chael came out looking better in that too (that's if the whole thing wasn't fake) because he was essentially ambushed and turned round to see an angry Wanderlei in his face and he didn't give two fecks. Maybe he was supposed to be scared or something but he just looked pissed.
