I'm loving this Wiganer looking the part as a heavyweight in UFC. I'm not bothered about the sport particularly but I love a pie eater doing well.
 
Weird end to the last fight, only saw the last couple of minutes but to be in full mount in a tight arm triangle where the ref asks the guy to show he's there 4 times before stopping it doesn't seem that controversial to me but then it gets called a no contest.

The guy doesn't have time to be talking to the ref. He is fighting for his life in there, surviving with just the minimum breathing space.

It was a matter of time for the tap, but the NC call was the right decision as the fighter was clearly not out just yet. I like Mike Beltran but he fecked up big time.

Hopefully Dana pays Ogden his win money because that was a dominant performance.

I understand that but it's easy to say in hindsight, the referee is trying to protect the fighters as much as possible and he was asking the guy to show him something, his eyes were closed and didn't seem to acknowledge the ref at all so how long does he leave it? if he was out then he's just leaving an unconscious guy in a choke to give him a chance. Maybe there needs to be a more universal way for fighters to communicate with a ref in those situations that won't compromise their defence?
 
Ooof, that finish from Saragih was nasty, those follow up shots to the temple..

I think the refs just need to get better. From my living room I could see the guy was clearly breathing. The ref also tried to remove the fighter's hand and was met with resistance and reacted alarmed somehow. Alarmed a non sleeping man wanted his hand back to keep fighting that choke.

Luckily this is a no issue in 99.9% of the fights.

@redom Allowing to restart the fight (fighters back into the same positions, etc), once the review on the the instant replay is over, sounds like a good start in terms of a solution for this type of issues.

Agreed, I wonder if they can't do that once the fight is officially over because they definitely do that in other situations, maybe they need to amend the rules as it does seem the best solution.
 
Really nice finishing sequence by CLD, on a side note whenever the the announcer says his name I expect LEEEEROYYY JJJENKINSSS to come out of his mouth.
 
Haha, those two having a verbal battle in the fight, JSP "get up and do something" Brito gets up and chokes him out.
 
Ben Askrens son with a nice sub. Interested to see Morales next, could be a prospect at 170.

Surprised to see Benni’s quite a big dog in this one. I know he looked stoned against Charles but hard to believe it’s completely disappeared overnight

Well if there was ever a round of fighting to make me say, “feck YOU” to the wankers I’ve just watched jogging round that pitch for 90 mins, then that was it. Some serious heart on display

Don’t think there’s ever been 2 slam knockouts on the same night before. If there’s 3 I’ll start suspecting some funny betting somewhere
