I think it's just popular to continue the narrative of Leon's attitude or charisma.
I don't really see it.

I actually wanted Diaz to win, but Leon was so disciplined for most of the fight, bar that last minute incident.
Then to immediately get booed by the crowd after that, can be tough to take.
I'd sooner hear Leon speak again after a fight then Usman for example, there is someone that tries too much.
 
Nate really isn't that good a fighter. He is a few soundbites.
Naturally over the years he has garnered a showman reputation to make up for whatever skill he lacks.
He is entertainment, and for a time, at least he could put guys down rather than get shown up. But that is no longer possible really.
Not sure what's even next for him.

One fight every 18 months until he gets too old. People still want to see him. When Conor gets beaten again by Poirier, I think we will see the trilogy.
