The MMA thread

That's a rough one to be honest.

A technical submission would definitely be given if a fighter goes unconscious to a choke. If a limb breaks and the fighter doesn't tap or verbally submit whatsoever then I think the referee can declare a TKO based on them being unable to effectively defend themselves.

Although it looked to me like he was trying to tap a fair few times there. Ref was a joke too. It should count as a submission if we're using common sense.
Many years ago Frank Mir broke Tim Sylvias arm. It wasn’t obvious to the viewer but herb dean called the fight off and he was proved to be correct

Nice, that was a bit before my time but I remember watching the Nog submission, that was brutal. Those types of things should always be called technical submissions imo.

Yes I remember that Nog arm break, it was gross

Good fight so far. Want Diaz to do it to be honest.

Diaz has been left behind. It was only a matter of time, especially with so much time away between fights. The modern fighters of 2021 have too much for him.

It’s not a fight with Nate Diaz unless he’s bleeding profusely.
The amount of scar tissue on his bake is mental.

Diaz is a joke. All bullshit bravado and feck all else.

I am not a fan either, even his posture is fecked from all his hard man swaggering around.

I know people love him because he is a warrior but he has no business against guys like this anymore.

Even calling him a warrior is generous. He's a punching bag, an extremely sturdy punching bag.

But people love his antics, for whatever reason.

What a scare towards the end

Honestly that was a poor performance from Edwards. Nate is trash and he almost managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

No doubt why dana loves diaz and keeps awarding him fights against better opponents. The guy knows how to put on a show.

Why the feck didn't he go all in at the end? Imagine winning a fight like that in the last round. Diaz must have been exhausted

If he jumps on that quickly I think he would have won it, no clue why he was so slow to throw again

Poor Leon Edwards is a charisma vacuum and he just doesn’t get any luck either.

Left looking like a chump by Masvidal and then absolutely dominating and showcasing his talent here, only to nearly get knocked out and leave people with that visual after putting on a clinic.

He needs a personality transplant and some attitude quickly.

I think he wont be getting a title fight against usman just because of this    . Dana must hate him

 For four rounds Edwards looks like he’s the logical next fight for Usman. Then Nate slaps him and nearly lot’s him.

I don't know why the exaggeration here. He gave a good post fight interview against a highly hostile crowd that were fully behind Diaz, despite Leon dominating that fight.
I've seen many handle it worse, but he accepted his win with class.
