The Manchester Title Race

More nervous about games like today than tricky away ones...especially after the shambles vs Fulham, a team we battered away from home.

We'll see what impact that trip to Scotland made on team's morale and chemistry in home matches.

Always nice to see Nani returning. Who knows, maybe Cleverley will have his chance, today to collect some title race experience.

Celebrate good times come on! Lol bye bye mario why always you!!!

Wigan
Aston Villa
Everton
Citeh
Swansea
Sunderland

8 point gap. We will take this lads.

If we get two points more than City in next three games, we're champions before the game at Etihad.

It would take the mother of all bottling acts for us to lose out now, especially considering our humble-ish remaining fixture list.

It's around about now that Chelsea suddenly appear out of nowhere, I can't believe that this, of all title races, might be the easy one.

There's more than enough games to make it nervy again, I won't relax until it's actually won.

18 to play for, 8 point lead, 10 point difference so the magic number to win is 11. Any combination of 11 points won for us or dropped for them means we win.

Right?

I don't think it changes what needs to be done over the next three matches. You don't want to start going into games thinking you can afford to drop points. One complacent performance and it can be back down to five points and needing to avoid defeat at the Etihad and beating Sunderland on the last day.

They'll probably put out the reserves if it comes to that.. Dont think it will tho..
Must win our next 3 games.. Vital.
They wouldn't because they'll want to do the double on us if that's the case. Something we want to avoid too.

But really, slightly too early for that

nah, not over yet....still a few twists..but hopefully we will just stay ahead. I don't think we played that well today...and we have a few tough games to go...but certainly today is the best possible end of day position we could have hoped for

And let it be known to the history writers that it was TODAY, Sunday April 8th, that Sir Alex Ferguson led Manchester United to their 20th English League title, putting clear daylight between Manchester United and their closest historical rivals Liverpool.

Let is also recorded by the historians, that Sir Alex Ferguson was the most versatile football manager that ever lived. Over a span of over 25 years, he managed to not only adjust but be ahead of all the footballing trends, that he was always the first to innovate, to reinvent and to transform Manchester United into what it required to be to be all conquering in the English football league.

He saw off challenges from all regions, all angles and all circumstances. No amount of collective skill (Newcastle), brief genius (Arsenal), or money (Chavski and Shitty) were ever able to topple him.

Let the history books never ever forget the genius that is Sir Alex Ferguson, leader of Manchester United and without doubt, the greatest British football manager that ever lived.

It ain't over till its over but 8 points with 6 games to go, fair to say we can be confident.

Oh bugger off. Just stop it. We are fans. We have supported through the season. Its ours. Let us enjoy.

Its going to be wonderful home straight to no 20.

Unstoppable.

We were 8 points clear last year too, but had a title decider against Chelsea. We will drop points, we never do it the easy way as Fergie says.

At first this reminded me of one of those RAWK style epitaphs, but the main difference is we actually have something great to write about.

When he retires he will become almost mythical in what he done. No-one will believe a manager could of lasted so long at a single club and achieve so much.
