The Manchester Title Race

You've posted that in 3 different threads and I've laughed each time.

Like I said 1 week ago, city will drop more than 4 points by the derby game, we just have to keep winning. Next week we are away to wolves so that is not going to be easy. We just need to take care of our results and we will be in good position by the derby.

Was that a female linesman who waived off the City goal? Starting to love the ideas of female officials if true.

Just so everyone knows I update the OP every week, just sayin

Is City's match with Stoke on a Monday night maybe? What about the weather forecast? Is it gonna rain?

City fans must be concerned, they've been suffering bad form and it's not looking like it's getting any better. While we're coping magnificently with losing our best player, Vidic, I doubt they will cope as well without Kompany.

You really can't understate just how bad their away form has been since they came to Old Trafford.

Hopefully a sight we'll be seeing a lot more in the coming weeks

Next five league fixtures:

Manchester City:
Chelsea (H)
Stoke (A)
Sunderland (H)
Arsenal (A)
West Brom (H)

Manchester United:
Wolves (A)
Fulham (H)
Blackburn (A)
QPR (H)
Wigan (A)

City will definitely drop something at Emirates I think, they will beat Sunderland and West Brom comfortably but might struggle against Chelsea and Stoke. We will find Wolves and Blackburn rather tough but should win the other three games with ease.

Hmmm...so 10 fixtures remaining and City still have Arsenal, Cheslea, Man United, Newcastle...and Norwich away. I like our chances.

And Stoke

Amazingly the only teams who have won at Stoke this season have been Newcastle, QPR, West Brom & Sunderland. Us and Chelsea drew there and Spurs and Liverpool both lost.

He must have lost a bet surely, or even worse had Joe Hart in his fantasy team...

We play first next week. Early kick off after a potentially draining game in Spain. Wolves away probably our hardest away fixture left, fully expect them to play like its the game of their lives. Win and the pressure on City will be immense.

Just got back from the match, the stadium erupted when the news filtered through of Swansea's goal, brilliant stuff :D

I think today could be a massive turning point. I don't think this will be the day we won the title if we do go on to be crowned champions and look back on it, but City may eventually see this as the game where they lost it. That's still all hypothetical though. A lot of us probably had the same train of thoughts when we overtook Chelsea towards the end of the season a couple of years ago.

They'll be dropping more points in those games Damo, if we can put together a few wins on the bounce then the Eastlands game could end up being meaningless.

Thought they'd have more bottle than that frankly, first pressure game of the run in and they feck it up.

I never expected them to lose at Swansea.. bonus, this result is. Chelsea at home, Arsenal away and Norwich away will be super tough for them. Not to mention Stoke away and Sunderland at home.

I thought they would get a draw, the loss is definitely a bonus. We were lucky to get out of there with a win, and the mercenaries seems to struggle at the tough away grounds.

This.

I was expecting dropped points but I figured it would be 0-0 or 1-1. For them to actually lose though, very nice. Only 2 wins in City's last 8 away games

How long is Kompany out for?

Don't think City cope without his leadership and defensive ability.

Yep. Look an entirely different team without him. Doubly so when Savic comes in to replace him.
