The left-back market…

Im still going for Alphonso Davies on a free next season even if he is linked with Madrid.

Wants a high contract. Check.
Friends with Zirkzee. Check
Team mates with Mazroui & De Ligt. Check.
Perfect fullback for Rashford. Check.

He is Canadian and people from those continents will look highly at United just as south americans look at Real Madrid. Check.

Manager : Nagelsmann

Diogo Costa
Dalot - Yoro/De Ligt - Martinez - Davies
Ugarte - Mainoo
Amad/Bakyoko-Bruno-Rford/Garnacho
Hojlund/Zirkzee

Hell, after all our seasons chasing Ex Bayern Players - i honestly don't see why we wont end up with Nagelsmann as our manager.

Transfers in :
1) Bakyoko - potential deal with Antony to PSV.
2) Davies - Free contract replacing Malacia
3) Digo Costa- <50m replacing Onana + making Vitek no 2.
4)Brantwaithe - 60 mil replacing Maguire
5) Wharton - Casemiro out
6) Dream unrealistic transfer - Wirtz or Cole Palmer to replace both Eriksen&Mount aalongside future replacement of Bruno due to their links to their fanhood or the manager or the club

I dont think this is unrealistic in the next January & summer transfers combined.
Totally overrated. Check.
Can't defend. Check.

Why do Madrid want him if he cant defend & overrated?
Because he is free* and they can play asymmetrical with a more defensive RB. They can also simply play him at LW, they have a real shortage there...
And he is "overrated" if you think that he is one of the best LBs on this planet. He is obviously still good, but he hasn't really developed over the last 3 years which is concerning. He fixes his positional mistakes with his crazy acceleration.

When we played Bayern in the UCL last season, in the pre match I remember ETH saying Davies is not a good defender

Loving the links to Patrick Dorgu. Would sign him in January to be sure we get him.

Absolute beast.

I'd love to see Amass given a go because I don't think Dalot at LB is sustainable. If either him or Mazraoui pick up a long term injury we are fecked. If Amass isn't ready then we should really be looking to get someone in on loan in January.

He was poor in the first half but it was a difficult position he found himself in. Rashford was only half tracking back, Eriksen wasn't covering, and Licha was constantly in two minds as to whether to shuffle across or stay central, all of which made Dalot an easy target for Southampton early on, isolated as he was.

The main thing is that both he and the team improved big time after the penalty scare.

Restricted deadline. Anyone we sign now - even on a free - can't play til January.

Is that in all comps, or only PL?

Even an option to play minutes in the cups or Europe could be worth looking at.

The Europa deadline was like a week and a half ago, I think.

Need to at least fix this short-term in January. Shaw out for another 2 months. What happens if either Mazraoui or Dalot pick up injuries, or if we might actually want to rest them here and there to prevent injury? Incredible that we did not buy a left back in the summer. Everyone knew that we needed one and yet we fecked about.

Everything you said, plus how many times is Dalot going to make faral mistakes, playing out of position and being exhaused from playing every game?

First goal against Spurs... Sure, Van de Ven should have been stopped long before he trained through entire field, but if Dalot picked up Johnson, it was
still was not going to be a goal and a proper, rested left back would have never left Johnson so free, in the same situation. This is not the first timw Dalot fecking up on the left wing, either. He is a right back + everybody needs rotation

Not bringing anybody in as a left back was a major feck up from INEOS. Anybody could see Luke Shaw was not an option for us and Malacia is a big question as well. Anybody but INEOS. We decided to go through the season without a single left back that can be available. Pure insanity

I said whilst the Euro’s were on that we needed to be ruthless and release Malacia seeing as at that point he’d been injured for 14-15 months and by the time he’d be potentially be back it’ll be 20 months and that we also need to make Shaw a squad player at best seeing as he plays more for England than us.

At other big clubs like Real or Bayern players are discarded for far less and as soon as they’re not useful or available they’re moved on regardless of what they achieved at the club, the most annoying part is the two left backs we had that are fit were sold on (Alvaro) and can’t ever get a game (Amass) so we play centre backs (Lindelof) or right backs (Dalot, AWB, Mazraoui) there and end up lopsided.

Just off the top of my head Gutierrez at Girona has a cheap release clause and Hermoso was on a free whilst there’s also Kerkez, Robinson, Davis and countless others and that’s without not selling Alvaro or playing Amass.

I really like Patrick Dorgu of Lecce. He's the kind of athletic full back that we lack in our back 4. He's also quick and we need more speed in our backline

How has Kerkez been this season? He’s already at 5 PL appearances so a step up on Shaw/Malacia

I now think this is our most important transfer. A proper left back that flies down his wing opens up so many possibilities on the left hand side. Rashford and Garnacho aren’t wingers they’re inside forwards, but they’re forced to hug the touchline in the current system and they really struggle. It’d also enable Mount or Zirkzee to play out there and drift in if we have a full back capable of holding the width (Mounts best football at Chelsea came in this system).
Robinson is the obvious choice for me, the lads top drawer.

Looked really bad against Everton. I can't say he's stood out one way or the other in the other matches I've seen him. To be honest, the only games I can recall where he's looked like a really big talent were against us - hardly a great barometer these days.

But then as you say, he can play five games in a row without the ending his career so there's that.

Leif Davis at Ipswich. Looks good, good age. Clearly a Robertson type of player (Hull).

How has he been this season? I was really impressed by his stats and performances in the Championship last season.

Apparently we have conceded 7 of 8 goals down our left side this season.

It’s mental when you think Shaw was rushed to play for England and got injured again and Malacia apparently died about a year ago. When was the last time an actual LB started for us?

When I wrote that a LB is priority over a 2nd CB or RB, because 1. Dallt is not a good LB and 2. we can't trust Shaw with his injuries, so many users didn't want to believe me. Look where we are now.

Can't believe we didn't get a new LB in the summer, especially if ETH thinks Amass is not ready. Pinning our hope on Shaw staying fit is a pure dumb move.

Talk in papers about us activating fernandes buy back clause, problem is he will probably reject us if reports of madrid and barca is legit

I wouldn’t worry about Barca unless he’s free. No way they can afford whatever benfica will want

Has he been that good at Benfica?

Quite weird that ETH did not even consider him for a position in which we had no other players available and he's now starting for a better team.
