Decent. The celeb bit was fecking nonsense and adding a grand total of nothing to the show.
I liked that bit to be honest.
Anyway, first show was good.

The new track looks awesome
It was very enjoyable. So much better than the new Top Gear but that goes without saying really.
We'll see if they can keep it up when they start doing the more scripted stuff and not just car reviews etc.
Have to say, thay looks pretty bad for Mc Laren. Over a second slower than the other 2.
The Porsche is amazing. Less Horsepower and cheaper than the other 2 and still beats them. You can see why Porsche didn't seem to give a shit and just let them use it whereas they supposedly had to jump through hoops to get Ferrari and McLaren to agree.
On most tough tracks, then? The McLaren always had severe traction problems compared to the others. On a track like this, this would always be a problem.
Brilliant show though could have been a bit shorter.
I got an Amazon Prime free trial so that I could watch this in 4K, and I have to say Amazon Prime itself is fecking crap.
- Great opening
- Not sure how I feel about eboladrome but it might grow on me
- The conversations section should be expanded a little bit
- I think the American driver calling everything commie might get old quickly
- Celeb bit was overdone, should have just had that bloke fall out the plane
- The production values, montages, angles, shots etc were fantastic
I'd give it an 8/10
It feels like the actual 23rd series of Top Gear but with a slightly different format, there were times I actually forgot I watching "The Grand Tour". Although I disliked the Celeb part of Top Gear I hope they still get F1 drivers to do a timed lap.

I enjoyed that very much made me smile and laugh what more do you want.
The girl behind Clarkson was incapable of closing her mouth.
I'm watching now and it feels like they are trying too hard to be funny, in the Jordanian army town the bits that have me laugh are the "sniper" falling to his "death" and James' hair. Everything else they are dragging it out and really trying to emphasise that its a comedy part.
No I never got that, I mean I knew a lot of the antics were set up but they didn't feel forced per Se, like repeating the same joke over and over again. That's why I stopped watching Top Gear a few years back. Is it the same sort of thing?
