Television The Grand Tour (Prime Video)

I'm all for the change in format because the best parts of the show are the segments/specials. However, I will be more than a bit miffed if we don't get the quality car reviews we've had to date. Some of the segments about some of the super cars, are just pure car porn, and I love it. Especially as it's unlikely I'll ever own a hypercar Ferrari, McLaren, Bugatti etc.

They will most likely have specials involving super cars on the Grand Tour but as I understood it there won't be any more traditional car reviews and lap times etc, so you'll probably have to go to Top Gear for those. Chris Harris does car reviews better than anyone anyway, although his style isn't the same as the GT trio obviously.
He does reviews for Top Gear's youtube channel and those videos are even better imo even though they lack the amazing editing from the show, but they aren't scripted so he isn't forced to tell a bad joke every 15sec.. That stuff worked perfectly for the old guys imo but Harris can't really pull it off.

Well that wasn't that sad as I exected. Considering they will keep filming, and it will include even specials, I guess not many things will change apart from not having the audience in the tent, not having lap times, etc., which isn't that big loss, IMO. Good season though.

Interest is pretty dead in this. I just stuck the new boat one on for something to watch while eating. All feels very Tory these days.

New one is out today. Its alright, not as good as the boat one. It was all a bit rudderless. Cant see them doing many more now.

They have another one filmed in Scotland and two more planned for next year after that. They are making too much money to stop.

On a side note loving James May's cooking show on Prime

I really enjoy the show. I just wish they would put out more than an episode per year

The woman in the cupboard

The last episode was good fun.

Special credit to the editing team. They did their best to avoid showing Clarkson's pregnant looking belly.

Thought the episode was good fun.

Really good episode imo. Surprised that is the first time that a car has failed to get to the finish line

The new trailer looks amazing like they are bringing out all the classics.

Wonder if that was Abbie Eaton driving as well ?

He's 100 woke now. I think he kept shouting "Gammonnnnnn!" As he drove past.
He might just have been trying to sell you products from his farm. The advertisement industry is constantly trying to reinvent itself.

The three of them seemed unnatural and and the chemistry felt forced. It's missing the magic of Flintoff, Harris and McGuinness.

Loved the latest episode of Grand Tour. Just felt sympathetic towards May towards the end as he had been really unlucky with the accidents

Watched this last night - much better than the last one. It’s been said loads of times but I’m still not sure why they need the obviously put-on bits like Hammond being unable to get onto a chair lift. They’re funny enough on their own.

That one in the Middle East where the tow trips him and he smacks his head was sickening.

Was really taken aback by the accident in this one as I just figured they’d be safe doing it.

I was as well, especially as it sounded like he started braking about halfway down the tunnel.

The entire stunt was a bit too reckless. Dead end at the end of the tunnel and not sufficient lighting was a recipe for disaster
