Television The Grand Tour (Prime Video)

I normally only hate-watch this.

But the Mongolia was one of the best episode of anything I've ever watched.
The new season has been really really good, lived this episode. Best episode they have done, ever maybe..

Yeah, this season's been excellent.

What I still don't like is their choice of the cars, if you drove M5 BMW last season then I seriously don't give a feck about new BMW Msport which is basically the same car only 30kg lighter. Choose something else, so many good cars these days and yet they insist on testing same old cliche TOP GEAR/GRAND TOUR cars they would like to own.

That Mongolia episode was pretty darn good. This season has been pretty decent to be fair.

Hit and miss but there were some great episodes, especially the Colombia and Mongolia episodes. It's always best when they do specials.

Colombia, China, USA, Mongolia and the Georgia episodes were all great. It’s good the tents getting packed away and they’re just doing specials. It still works
Yeah China was great mostly just to see the scale of everything there which is nuts

US episode was shite imo, way too scripted.

I thought that was the last episode but there’s one on next week.

I thought the episode prior to this Mongolia one was the last.. I don't get it as they originally signed up for 36 episodes over 3 seasons, but they're past that now.

The humping John was hilarious

Have to say I got emotional at the end there.

Have to say I got emotional at the end there.

Just been on the Final Gear forums and there are many there admitting to shedding a tear especially when Clarkson started tearing up. But all in all the present series is a great way to end the present format and if the specials are up to the quality of those this season then the future looks good.

Oh man, I want to watch it now after reading this.

That was a properly enjoyable season.

Not really sure how it took them so long to work out that people always thought the specials were best and that Amazon were giving them a shitload of money which meant they could make more of them, but now they've got there long may it last.

Well that was emotional.
aye...just watched it now and my daughter walked in on me as JC just started to well up and so did I and she asked if I was ok, told her what was happening and she started to cry. Then asked if she could sleep in the same bed with me and the wife as she's so upset so think she's not all that upset...manipulating kids!

Really glad to hear they're not all done though as they are tv motor legends given those who like them have been watching them for 17 years.

Feck me felt so bad after this.. Great season and looking forward to their specials.

I got a bit emotional during the end as well, but then in the middle of all that crying and reminiscing they announce that they're not quitting and all they're doing is changing the format.. so I don't really see what the fuzz is about? Sure it's the end of an era for this type of show that they've been doing for so long, but it felt a bit weird setting it up like that only to announce 5min later that they will carry on.

I've not seen the episode but it has gotten a bit stale. Clarkson is the worst for me. He's a British snob with bad teeth and a terrible attitude. I like him because I've grown up with him.

But honestly he's a toff. I can't stand car snobs.

The show wouldn't work without him as Top Gear found out .

If you don't watch a show because you think someone is a snob then that's kinda sad really

Clarkson, a Toff. Fecking hell some people need to reevaluate their understanding of the class system.

You shouldn't probably watch car shows then.

Really? What is he then?

He makes fun of Americans for big engines and white teeth.
Nazi Germans
Poor people.

You tell me what a toff is then.

So he's just a cnut is what you're saying.

He likes animals and preserving nature

He's a wanker. A Toff is someone like Jacob Rees Mogg. Clarkson is from Yorkshire and a very working class background. Taking the piss out of people does not denote social class status. I also take the piss out of the Yanks and Nazi Germany, as well Aussies and in fact pretty much everyone. That would make me a wanker as well.

Stop calling me out then. He's a racist and I don't like it

You said you don't like car snobs and he said car shows probably aren't for you then, and that's calling you out? You need to step away from the keyboard for a bit fella.

That montage to the end, such great memories. Some of the stuff of the Old top gear and this last season of GT has been epic. Hopefully they carry it in the specials.

Clarkson being the one to well up wasn't expected, I was sure it would've been Hammond.

Hammond's rant about his dad's car

I'm all for the change in format because the best parts of the show are the segments/specials. However, I will be more than a bit miffed if we don't get the quality car reviews we've had to date. Some of the segments about some of the super cars, are just pure car porn, and I love it. Especially as it's unlikely I'll ever own a hypercar Ferrari, McLaren, Bugatti etc.
