The Fourth RedCafe Sheep Draft

Yeah I was thinking more players that would definitely be a hindrance such as some of the other Asian countries.

I'm not bothered either way really just seems best to keep in fitting with the rest of the picks.

Asian countries? Probably more like South Pacific and Caribbean island nations ;)

Yeah that's what I'm worried about. At the moment I'm semi confident I've made it through. Depends how sage everyone else has gone though

If you could be so kind as to refrain from posting until a minute after i post the results, that'd be great. Cheerio.

Round 2 - Short or Tall?

article-0-1B4C3738000005DC-148_634x485.jpg

Freebie research
Pick a player UNDER 5 feet 7 inches (5 ft 7 in is NOT included) OR a player 6 feet 3 inches+ (yes, 6 ft 3 in is included and yes, you can pick a player 7 ft tall).

You pick one player, not two.

Use Wiki. We will know if you're cheating.

BUDGET & POWER CARDS are now ACTIVATED!

Deadline for Pick 1 is at 11 AM GMT tomorrow.

Hope that's clear enough. Good luck!

BUDGET

Everyone gets a 100M budget and can spend up to 40M on a player in increments of 1M.

What the feck? This is how it works:

When submitting your pick in Pick 1 of each round, you can also put a bid in to try to secure the player if you wish. If two or more managers go for Djemba-Djemba but one offered 35M and the other 32M the former gets him and the other FAILS.

If two or more bidders bid the same amount; the player gets blocked and they lose their money as well, so think carefully.

To make it clear, you can only bid for players in Pick 1 of each round. Budgets are useless in reinforcement rounds.

Name of the player: DARK

Initial Budget: 100m for managers A, B and C

A bids: 40 M
B bids: 40 M
C bids: 10 M
D says 'I want him but I don't pay'

Final Budget for A: 60M
Final Budget for B: 60M
Final Budget for C: 90M

Who gets the player? Nobody because the player is blocked.

Am I right?

I was uncertain between this one player and another, but I think I'll go with this fella. I've always wanted to try this player out in a draft (@Raees might be happy that the other player's still available).

One regret: I considered gambling on England - and it turns out I should have. Thought it was riskier to go for Scotland or Ireland, actually, as that'd be a typical choice for a half-clever pick (landing United greats, etc.) - whereas England is a bit of a neither-fish-nor-fowl thing: Huge football nation, you get GOATs - but then again, why not just gamble on Brazil, Italy or Argentina instead?

:drool::drool::drool:

Happy to play him all the way to the final (not that I'd get there), there weren't many stoppers better than him.

Everybody has considered England so the risk was high that somebody picked the country, not to mention that some of us live in the UK.

I don't think the country is 'underrated', just my opinion.

England would have been the gamble.

Yes, obviously it would have meant a risk - but that goes for all the big nations. My thinking, however, was that England would've been something people considered but didn't actually go for - which turned out to be right.

My predictions were off, on the whole, for the big nations, though: Would've expected one of them to go through P1, perhaps two, but not all of Italy, England, Argentina and Spain.

Throw out some sheep names and anto will deal with it.. :wenger:

For us normal people, lower than 170 cm (so 169 is eligible? it's between 5,7 and 5,6) or higher than 191 cm, right?
