I got lucky with Kohler, he wasn't eligible in the last two rounds, if I remember correctly and only 3 other managers could pick him now.
Also with the fullback bloodbath so far, Reuter is imo another outstanding pick. I can play Dortmund's CL winning right side in defense now, Sammer, Kohler, Reuter.

Zambrotta was my original pick - but the one I reckoned had gone for him was TITO, not Sniper's. Ah well, happy enough with my picks. Grand round for Anto, as others have pointed out.

Silva for me is the perfect CB, if anything i think his time in Serie A and now PSG has underrated how good he is, if he was playing in La Liga or the PL his hype would be more. Although he is widely considered the best CB, for me apart from Nesta there isn't many that have been better in the last 20 years, he is flawless.
Good to see Baraja and Aimar finding homes. It was a toss up for me between Baraja and Dunga, would have taken Baraja as another option later if he was still available
A friend of mine is Greek and a huge Panathinaikos fan and he called him a traitor for about 5 years everytime he talked about football, that's why I remember him. I think there's a few winners that round. 2 important positions filled for many. I think there's a lot of quality forwards left still for those that missed out on Vieri

I have been reminding you lot to pick the keeper by Round 9 and so far not even half of you have a keeper. So I won't keep it a surprise anymore so that you don't blame me of screwing you right at the end.
At the end of Round 9, you all will have a squad of 12 players. Anyone who doesn't have a keeper at that point, will be appointed a Sheep keeper. Before you start relaxing thinking a sheep keeper isn't a big problem to have, I would like to tell you that you will have to replace one of the 12 players in your squad at that point, and you cannot replace a sheep pick. So be careful, you have 4 players left to add in the team, and do it wisely.
Also, this will happen before we begin the round where you can pick from the Banned List (will be explained later), hence all keepers who are now in the Banned List are completely out of the picture and will be removed from the running in the Banned List picking round, as you all will have a keeper by then, regular or sheep.

I was very close to going for Leonardo, actually. Might have played him both as a LB and a winger of sorts - always liked him as a player. Köpke could turn out to be a fine pick too - it won't be easy landing a really outstanding keeper here. Not many of 'em left - and Köpke was a very good keeper, albeit not what you'd call a top, top one, I suppose.
Agreed pretty much. He doesn't have a weakness and moreover he has spent a lot of part of his career covering for some real shite players like Andre Santos at Brazil and what not and still managed to hold the fort. Even at PSG the fullbacks have been pretty average so he has to do more than a regular CB's shift. Class player, really.

He's a fine keeper and with so many great keepers banned, he's a solid choice. I consider all but one German keepers that played in a tournament and are eligible in this draft better than him though.

I have been pretty generous and helpful for this draft considering this is the first one but this one needs to be a bit harsh, which is why I announced it now instead of later. So you have 4 picks left to prevent this damage.
What I'll do is not have a criterion that makes picking a keeper impossible, but beyond that you need to do you job.

I wanted both of them as well, with the added factor that they suited an already existing back three. Sometimes you have to accept you can't have it all go your way I guess.

Nope, you will still end up with a squad of 12 at the end of the draft. I'll explain that later, basically the guy you get from the Banned List would be swapped with one of your 12 players, not added.
Probably left it a bit late to get my attackers in, and Redouane is ruining my midfield big time, but yeah it's looking better than it was before this round that's for sure.
