The First Redcafe Sheep Draft

As much as it hurts me, this is my favourite Robben goal. Minute after we have pulled one back to make it 2-1, he kills the game and how.

Müller kept Robben on the bench throughout last season when both competed for the same position. Only the injury of another player meant that Müller needed to play in the middle and Robben won his spot back.

But wasn't that to do a lot more with how Henyckes wanted every player to help out in defense, etc? And once Robben came back he improved that side of his game and hasn't left since, right? Not to mention he was kickass in the semis and the final of the CL.

Are you sure you are not underrated Robben here, Balu? I mean, sure Muller is excellent but Robben has been phenomenal for over an year now, no?

I'm not underrating Robben, you guys are underrating Müller . Both are awsome, but offer something very different to the team.

Samaras a fine pick

If you com up against a draft worthy defense, no one would buy him having any impact what so ever. You would be better off starting no strikers at all

As with Heskey, or robot-dancing freak, all you need is a Delap and suddenly even the best could be in trouble.

Robben for me at one time was top 5 players in the world, i love Muller in fact he is probably my favourite player outside of Liverpool, but Robbens peak has been higher for me, of course he is also more naturally talented as well.

This round has gone incredibly quick, by the way. Only a few hours! We are on pace for probably 6 rounds in 6 days.

Yeah I agree to that which is why I thought the "Muller > Robben" statement wasn't fair to the dutchman. I don't think it's easy to separate them at all.

I think Robben has one of the best goals + assists tallies in 2013 year, btw.

And as unplayable as Robben is at his best, I would never be keen to have him in my team. He goes through too many stretches when he is complete garbage.

Robben is individually the better player, I agree with that. In a team full of top top players, I'd have Müller over him though. He adds so much to the team when he's not on the ball, it's simply amazing and his goals and assist stats for Bayern and Germany are also outstanding.

Too early to rate Muller definitely in terms of others
I've seen enough of him to rate him highly :). Youngest golden boot winner at a worldcup since Pele, if I remember correctly. Still believe he would have made the difference against Spain in the semifinal, if not for that idiotic suspension. Top goal scorer in the CL for a treble winning team, amazing stats overall, incredible workrate, some truely special goals, anyone remember his goal against Roma?

He looks clumsy as feck, but scores brilliant goals anyway . And he does it quite often actually. What a player he is.

Agree, which is why it's a bizarre comment. I would bet my left nut we both got the better player for the job at hand.

Yeah, no doubt. The Müller > Robben comment was slightly tongue in cheek of course, the reaction was brilliant though . I love Pippa's picture with Robben laughing ;).

He is quite incredible, quite possibly the most 'intelligent' football around, and he has that knack of scoring goals in important games, still only 24 as well!

Absolutely. Good to see people rate him as much as I do as well. I was a bit surprised I got him, which gives me hope with this round's pick.

This is true, last season Robben was pretty much a sub player for Bayern for the first half of the season, and was bound to leave Bayern by summer, speculations were unstoppable. But than an injury has given him a chance, and he took it anyway. I hated these shouts that Robben was player of the season and not Ribery because it was hilarious, since Robben didn't play for half a season.

But after saying that, Robben is brilliant and better at his best than Muller's best. But it's not that one ended, Muller adds a huge tactical dimension that Robben doesn't, he's movement and build up play is amazing, plus he's work rate is great and he's super smart using it, plus Robben doesn't track back half as much as muller does. In a year or so Muller will be a better player than Robben ever was, but not yet
