I actually cannot believe that three legends of the game were not picked. I had written off one of them almost immediately after seeing the criteria. :lol:

Both decent or better than that. Balint scored a couple of goals at Italy 90. That's far from Djemba-Djemba sheep material.

Aye - both the Steaua lads are too good to be sheep - there are definitely better (or rather worse) candidates to pick. The likes of Kuyt and Ando will be greater liabilities to carry, I'd say.

Yeah, I realised that my initial option would be a very safe pick - I am certain that he wasn't picked this round - and I decided to just take a punt on possibly the best left winger available in the draft. Well he's perfect for the system that I want to employ to be fair, so I am glad that nobody else chose him. I was surprised that he wasn't taken in the first round like some other modern Man Utd legends like Scholes and Ferdinand.

How does a CL winner with 156 games for Chelsea and 23 international goals even begin to compare with Eric Djemba Djemba playing 20 games for us before starting a long life of club-hopping?

I was hoping he'd go unpicked through this round too, actually - which is why I didn't go for him. But things played out very differently than I'd expected here - as it turns out he's pretty much the pick of the round. Congrats!
 
With everyone blocking fullbacks, Giggs certainly is the pick of the round :lol:.

Jeez. Give me your obscure whoever if you are going keep crying about this now. I was kidding about Ando anyway. Do keep in mind that it was you only who said that getting sheep in last round would be worst due the wide net of players. Not all rounds can have same caliber of sheeps, but I don't really care who I get. Heck, give me Heskey if you can get Aldo to bent rules.

Pick a player who has been sent off in a game at the club level. Any international match won't count.

Depends how you view it really, no body thinks Kuyt is a good player and he's about the shittest of the ones voters will know. I think its funnier if the sheep is someone people have seen play and recognise as being a shite player - someone like Heskey or Kuyt - as opposed to a random bloke from Eastern Europe that no body knows. People will take different views on that though.

Interesting criteria. Quite open. I'm sure it'll give a chance for everyone to grab a player that they were potentially planning to get sometime in the draft.

It's a different criterion though, isn't it. Obviously the standard of players who've scored in a European Cup final are going to be higher. Obviously. Obscure players won't stand out as weak links like recent, known players who aren't very good.
