Prath you cnut.
I'm sure I picked way before you.
I have had no sheep till now so I don't mind one. I'm simply playing for the fun of it.

And you were banned for oneOne more criteria round would be great after I ballsed up the first 3.
No, I was thinking about this before and today as well and players unpicked will NOT be available in reinforcement pool. Only the knocked out ones but what is rule for that usually? 2 players from the team player X defeats in previous round?@The Man Himself would the reinforcement pool after the matches also include players who were unpicked throughout the 12 rounds or just the ones who got knocked out?
If not, we can start discussing which players went unpicked.
It used to be like that, but these days we take all the knocked out teams of the round, so say after round of 16, 8 teams get knocked out, so you make a pool of players using all those teams and let the ones who qualified pick from that. How to do that is up to you, since this is a sheep draft so maybe you can continue the same format for picking reinforcements.nly the knocked out ones but what is rule for that usually? 2 players from the team player X defeats in previous round?
It sucked that Harold Larwood never qualified for any criterion. The leader of the pack during the famous bodyline series against Bradman.Yeah, you can start discussing unpicked ones. 1-2 on top of my head names, almost criminally missed out.

Didn't he qualify for criteria 11? We considered him before going for tyson. It used to be like that, but these days we take all the knocked out teams of the round, so say after round of 16, 8 teams get knocked out, so you make a pool of players using all those teams and let the ones who qualified pick from that. Tossed a coin between him and Ted Dexter.Bit surprised no one went for Peter May
We considered him for criteria 11, but gone after Tyson.
You are right, he would have, I was only looking for batsmen as I was done with my bowling line up so couldn't pick him then.Didn't he qualify for criteria 11? We considered him before going for tyson.
Gupte is our spinner. Considered Tayfield but Gupte's better.Tossed a coin between him and Ted Dexter.
Victor Trumper, WG Grace, Aubrey Faulkner, Hugh Tayfield, Dudley Nourse, Learie Constantine, Vijay Hazare, Vijay Merchant, Subhash Gupte some of the names that could have been picked.

...Closer to home, Vengsarkar and Viswanath were missed out on. Could have easily been picked above some others which went through. Both classy players. Atherton would have been a decent pick too if someone wanted a proven opener. His numbers aren't that great but he was an important kind of player to have in his time.It sucked that Harold Larwood never qualified for any criterion. Typhoon Tyson has a better record statistically, but a very short career. Be interesting to see how people vote on that.We considered him for criteria 11, but gone after Tyson.
Larwood was all about bodyline bowling though. Difficult to guess how he would have done in a normal setup. Tyson was ferocious and a wicket taker par excellence in traditional setups. Can't believe you picked Tyson ahead of him.
Isn't just about statistics tbh. Read post above.Typhoon Tyson has a better record statistically, but a very short career. Be interesting to see how people vote on that.

I was trying to recollect the name of the guy who batted with an injured thumb and scored a double hundred. Completely forgot his nameTossed a coin between him and Ted Dexter.

That's really harsh, he was one of the greatest of that generation, one that was usually dominated by batsmen, had great speed and deadly accuracy, he was pretty feared before the bodyline happened. He also inspired future legends such as:Larwood was all about bodyline bowling though.
Larwood's classical action, copied by countless schoolboys - including Ray Lindwall in Sydney - culminated in a side-on delivery, the ball's velocity touching the highest ever recorded
Stats don't even begin to describe his legacy.Stats wise not useful for tests.
Aye, Ranjit particularly.Back home we named our first class trophies after Ranjitsinhji and Duleepsinhji, would have been excellent picks.
Yeah, probably being harsh but he came to prominence and became best known due to the bodyline series, that can't be denied imo. Seeing as we won't be having the setup, we felt it was too much of a risk. That's really harsh, he was one of the greatest of that generation, one that was usually dominated by batsmen, had great speed and deadly accuracy, he was pretty feared before the bodyline happened.
