The first Cricket sheep thread

There's one guy who I wanted in from the start. He fits the recent rounds but because of the sheep I had to set my sights higher, and fortunately I got my picks but he's as of now still out there. Hopefully I get him. I see him as a nice balance.

I think I may know who you mean. He does offer a lot of balance to the team as you said. But I think he may have been picked this round. (Not by me!). But then again, I could be completely wrong here.

I'll pick before I sleep. Trying very hard to avoid a sheep

My tactic of playing it safe is working for now. Can't afford any more sheep like fecking Jadeja or Jr Murray.

Is jadeja really a sheep? I remember he was a popular player when he first started in the india side, he used to spin the ball decently... Am I thinking of the same player?

Think it's Ajay Jadeja and not the current million dollar man.

Crappy only remains for current round.

@KM takes back control. It was nice modding this :D

Ajay Jadeja was a decent batsman in ODIs in the 90s. He was the 'finisher' that is someone who could smash in the death overs.

Along with Robin Singh they revolutionized the Indian lower middle order batting, they were expeditious between the wkts, more than hard hitting their placements were right. Both are very good fielders .

Ajay Jadeja was a terrific ODI player. The way he smashed Waqar in 1996 world cup is legendary. This is test draft though so only his test career counts, where he was not that great.

This is a test draft, the format in which he was absolutely bollocks. Would have been a good sheep to have in an ODI draft though.

he wasnt technically a "smasher" all the time but he could score very fast. Scoring at a strike rate of more than 100 was a big thing in those days i think.

This is one of my favorite innings by an Indian batsmen ever.

Will watch it on the WiFi when I get home. My point was that his quick scoring wasn't because he was a brutal smasher of the ball. More about good placement and superb running.

This was his debut and wonderful catch to dismiss Alan Border, in those days Indian fielding were trash, baring few rest were poor.

Ok guys, I think we've come to the conclusion that Jadeja was a brilliant player, let's bear that in mind when it comes to down voting.

K thanks.

Criteria 7 Round 3 results:

Crappy: FAIL (player already picked)
NM: PASS
Prath: PASS
Skizzo: PASS

Where are the picks? I'm fascinated by this round as a lot of people got their first picks.

@KM 40mins to deadline? Think I recall TMH saying it'd be 8hrs for round 3 but not sure.
