The first Cricket sheep thread

Still need two more. C'mon guys. 14 people are in,

Ya start with 14 men. If it is straight knockout, give the 'best winner' from round of 14 a direct semis spot?

Better to give the best loser from the 1st round a QF spot. Rewards should be early on, not in the SF stage

14 players, 7 round 1 games --> 7 winners.

3 QFs, the best loser i.e. one who lost by the least amount of votes plays the remaining team in a 4th QF.

Normal service there on out.

So fifteen now.

What now?

Of all the losers in the QF, the one with the most votes gets a second chance with the 15th player ?

Round of 16, not QF.

Or give a player a bye to the QFs.
Yes, sorry, I meant that. Just give the strongest loser in the round another go. Even if you give a player a bye, who would he play against ? There's one short for 8 in QF.

I don't mind jumping in. Not an expert by any means, but should be able to get by (hopefully)

How will the matches be judged exactly? Just the line up in batting order/ bowlers?

Yes! By the team strength. So we start today!

14 players = 7 winners
+ 1 player with a bye
= 8 players in the QFs

You've got 16 now though so it doesn't matter anyway.

Lets do this KM, 1st sheep draft in cricket.

I am. Still happy to have an assistant too, if anyone's interested.

Count me in too.. though I have absolutely no clue how to play this thing.

I wouldn't mind giving it a go.

In but I'm still not getting any notification after being tagged.

Did not get notification either. In

Is there space? I want in!!!

Feck it, why not.

I'm in too, I think it should only be players born after like 1950-60 though

im in man

i got this now. Im in too. If spots available

We start today. I'll post the criteria in an hour.

First criteria
First Criteria

Pick a bowler who has picked a ten wicket haul in a test match.

Few things to remember:

1) All the players should be born after 1-1-1950
2) Please send some kind of link to prove that the bowler has taken ten wickets in a test match
3) This round will end when 24 hrs are over or when I get everyone's picks.

Out of interest would the sheep have to have taken 10 wickets in a match or not? Or fit any of the Criterias

@KM How many chances per round if you get a sheep at the first go?
You'll only get a sheep once ur picks have been picked by someone else, picked in the earlier round or are illegible in all of the three rounds per criteria.

Sorry, meant if the first pick is blocked, not sheep. Checked OP now, 3 attempts per round. Thanks.

Think i'm gonna get destroyed here. Anybody want to be a AM?

Thanks @KM for driving this

How about the pitches where games are played? Anything we can go on or is it potluck where you end up playing?

I'll decide the pitches.

I'm assuming that if a player is drafted, they can't be drafted by someone else in later rounds? Do blocks also carry across rounds?

Akash is my AM, btw.
Yes

Ten picks already in!

6 to go.
