Yes, you've always been able to, regardless of the model.
But only originals

So, i'm starting to get into it (VII that is), although i'm not very far at all. Are there things like items etc. i need to make sure i don't miss out on throughout the game? I can't be assed to struggle playing it really, i just wanna get through it quickly and enjoy it and the story. I'm hoping to finish it in time for me to obtain FFX again (i seriously can't imagine this game being better than that.) Try not to spoil the story for me btw.
Oh actually, when you have got through the mythril mines and heading to Junon. Go into the forests near the little river there, battle a few times until you face "mysterious ninja" or something like that. Once you beat her you'll have to answer some questions in the right way, try the internet as i can't remember, and she'll join your party. This is Yuffie, a character that is not necessary but is pretty useful. Her and Vincent are probably the only two things that you could miss that would make the game any harder.
I actually cannot wait to get home from work are carrying on playing this!
I'm in the big Shinra building atm and have to guess some cnuts password. Is there an easy way to figure out which one it is? Or do i just try them all till i get it right? If so, i assume there's a bonus for getting right without doing that? (Hence why i made the effort of going back to floor 1 and saving before i did it)
Right, I'm going to admit it, I'm a FF Virgin.
Which is the best one to start me off, is there a PS3 out atm?
Final Fantasy VII definately.
Then move onto Final Fantasy X. Then you should just about be hooked on the FF series.
The PS3 store is selling FFVII at a very good price i hear. Or you can buy an old cheap PS1 with FFVII. Probably be around the same price. Or just download the pc version.
FFX is on PS2 format.
Don't forget FFVIII, arguably one of the very best move on to that one before X IMO!
Ah yes and of course FFXIII. The storyline on that game was amazing. Wouldn't be out of place on today's shelves, i can tell you that.
There is a method that involves going through the library on that floor, but you'd be better off just saving the game and loading it until you get it right. Think you get an elemental materia if I remember rightly, which will help against the next 3 or 4 bosses.
Oh aye, that was fecking brilliant. I just hope that, when FFVIII comes out, it'll be somewhere near that level.
Okay, so i'm stuck kinda. But i don't think i should be, it's weird.
I'm still in the Shinra building and this Jenova thing as escaped apparently. Anyway, i've gonna back upto the lab room where i met RedXIII, then there's a door in there that won't actually open, although i'm assuming it's supposed to open (I wen't through the door from the other side earlier on, and some bloke that gave me a keycard went through the same door.) Think it might be a bug, if so. Massive, massive sigh.
Because if so then you have to leave by a door in the bottom right hand corner of the room. The door will be open and there will be marks on the wall in the corridor. If i remember the door is under a walkway and not clearly visible so this might be it. You shouldn't need a keycard at that point.
EDIT: never mind i found a video. You should just walk straight through the door, don't press anything just walk through.
Haha. I'm an idiot. Turns out the door was actually beneath the stairs, and i thought it was above.
Damn these misleading graphics/my stupidity!
I'm levelling up in the forests just before Junon. Already have Satellite Beam and Climhazzard with Barret and Cloud, Blood Fang with Red XIII and Fire, Ice and Bolt 2
I beat the Ruby Weapon for the first time when I was about 9 and beat both Weapons without Knights of the Round when I was 11
Beating those Weapons with KOTR is what everyone should strive to do.
Dude the guy who gives you the keycard walks down the stairs to get through the door! Ah well glad you're past it now, you've still got a long ways to go.
Thing is, i was finding the game easy till then. I'm yet to die which i'm proud of. I remember on other games i'd still die once or twice before it even got difficult.
I still feat that im not using Materia properly. What's this enemy skill thing all about? It won't even let me use it. And wtf does Aeris' second limit break (evil seal or something) do. I don't like not knowing anything about all this stuff.
